This is a good little cottage in a good location. The cottage is old and does show a wee bit wear and tear but that is to be expected. We were there for a full week and did make full use of the kitchen facilities for breakfast and lunch. There are only 2 small niggles, none of which would put me off booking the cottage again, and that would be the double bed's mattress is past its best and should be replaced although the size of the bed was excellent. The other niggle was the hobbit sized ironing board (only 2ft in length and a table top version), trying to iron a grown mans shirt proved difficult as well as long skirts. Normally wouldn't worry about creased clothes but we were down visiting relatives for a special birthday and going out for a posh do and these items were crushed in our cases. There is plenty of room in the cottage to store a normal iron board so did wonder why the hobbit one was there....
The Lamb and Flag pub which really is just across the road does excellent food and has wonderful staff.
