12 Glan Y Mor Beach Cottage description

Holiday home
Set in the heart of the pretty seaside village of Llansteffan, this elegant and spacious semi-detached house provides a warm welcome all year round. A log-burner warms the entire house in winter while a tranquil garden that's a real sun-trap offers guests a perfect location for a spot of summer al fresco dining. With three bedrooms and all modern conveniences, this comfortable property provides a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding countryside, the nearby beach (just a short walk from the property) and the wealth of attractions in the region. Only minutes from the local shop and pub, this house has all the charm of a typical Welsh cottage.

Llansteffan is a lovely seaside village with its own castle ruins, a post office, general store and two pubs specialising in serving local food. This tranquil setting is only a short journey from the county town of Camarthen, which offers visitors a wide range of facilities including numerous shops and boutiques, restaurants, pubs and a thriving daily market. This spectacular part of Wales has always drawn the crowds but there are enough isolated sandy coves and beaches to give everyone the chance to find some peace and quiet. If you're more of an adrenaline junky, the noise and excitement of Pembrey motor racing track is only a short drive away whilst culture-vultures can visit Dylan Thomas' Boat House at Laugharne or the plentiful castles, mills and craft centres in the region. Llansteffan offers a perfect base for a wide range of holidays and is a marvellous introduction to this glorious part of Wales.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

A lovely house only 2 minutes walk from the beach, shop, and pub. The house was a really good size and the beds were really comfy! The proprietor was very friendly, showing us round and advising us of local attractions. There was a good range of appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, freezer etc) and a TV and DVD machine, as well as nice array of board games! The beach and castle were beautiful and a short drive took us to Pembrey and Pendine beaches, as well as Camarthan town centre. We had a great time, and would not hesitate to hire this cottage again.

The property was of a good general standard in a great location, very near the local beach. Llansteffan is a great base with a local tea shop, village shop, chip shop, two pubs and a restaurant, it's own castle ruins, and nearby beaches with Carmarthen town itself in easy reach.

The cottages was very close to the beach. Llansteffan is a very nice small village with a good tearoom and good fish and chips from Florries. There were also nice walks around the village. And it did not take long to be in Carmarthen for shopping among other things. We had a great time there!

Lovely, quiet area. Small community with friendly neighbours. We really enjoyed this cottage, plenty of space within the house. Very comfortable beds.

We have to agree with previous review. (August 2014). Nothing has changed except a square of carpet inserted by the patio doors. It's a shame as the location is perfect.

The location was excellent and the accommodation was of a very high standard. The owner was very thoughtful. Fresh flowers and up to date DVD's for the children was a lovely touch. If anything I feel that the owner has placed too high a quality of furnishings in the house. Everything was brand new and excellent quality.

The photos on the web are out of date. The sofa is different. The carpet in the lounge in completely worn by the door. The garden has benches which are grey and warped. The kitchen and utility were not clean. There was no welcome pack or local info book. On the plus side the property in very close to the beach and the owner pleasant. This I am afraid is the only plus.

Excellent location, only 5 minutes from the beach. Accomodation lovely, bedrooms especially. Garden spacious and a suntrap!
