The setting of the cottage was absolutely incredible. After a 10 hour drive, this cottage epitomizes the saying that the best things come to those who wait. No words can truly describe just how perfect it is!

WOW WOW WOW, this was our second visit and we love this property, the views are amazing. Sitting outside you don't hear anything and watching the wildlife is fabulous. If we had our way we would never leave this cottage. Our dog loved it as well, he seemed to be so happy and free. Thank you to all. We had a brilliant time and would love to come back.

The property was warm, comfy and has everything you need. This cottage has the best location you could ever imagine. Scenery is truly stunning the wildlife was beyond anything we could have hoped for. It's great to open the door be on the shore, a real treat. I don't think anywhere else on Skye would be as amazing!

Peaceful and quiet. It was exactly what was said, right on the beach with amazing wildlife. We even had a snow plough to get us out. So good for the soul, especially after the rush and chaos leading up to Xmas.

Loved the location, and the cottage was cosy and comfortable. The week went past so quickly - could have stayed another two or three weeks and still not seen a fraction of this beautiful part of the world. An excellent holiday.

Beautiful cottage in an absolutely stunning location. You even get to spot otters and seals just outside on the rocks early morning! We loved our stay here, using it as a base to tour Skye. Definitely walk Quiraing Ridge!

The tranquility, it was wonderful to wake up draw back the curtains to be looking at the sea and standing outside and hearing nothing but the sound of the waves and wildlife. We live on a boat out in the countryside but this beat even that. The daily walk along the shore and through the forest to the otter hide was fantastic. On arrival we walked into a lovely warm cottage with gifts of wine, biscuits and milk these were all much appreciated. We have already recommended this cottage to several friends and family.

The location of the property was just magnificent, just to sit either in the window seat or on bench outside and watch the seals was so lovely and relaxing. Cottage bigger than we expected and had everything we needed and very clean.

My son, dog and I had a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage. The location is superb! If you are looking for stunning, dramatic scenery with an abundance of wildlife at your feet, a cosy, remote but not isolated place to retreat from the hustle and bustle.... this little place will do the trick! We spotted a seal, a pair of otters (every morning at day break) and lots of different birds. Walked out of the front door straight onto the beach. Up the hill through the woods to the otter hide. Down the road to the footpath, past the river, old stone cottage remains and back out onto the end of the beach where you can find a waterfall! Skye also has a lot to offer, we visited Portree, Broadford the local town and went to the 'fairy pools' at Brittle; they were stunning, freezing cold and gave you wonderful views of the Cullins. The cottage and it's location offered us everything we wanted so we didn't venture away a great deal, a car is a must regardless and a stock up of groceries in Kyle or Broadford if you haven't packed it a good idea. NB: Fuel is available from Broadford and is substantially cheaper than Kyle on the main land so no need to panic buy unless your running empty. My son and I both agreed that the road leading to Kylerhae reminds us of a postman pat road. It is however a little hair raising in places and despite the awesome views it's probably wise to concentrate solely on the road the first time you navigate it. All in all a fantastic property, owned and run by a wonderful family who make it their goal to ensure you have a great holiday. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending 1a Kylerhae to anyone interested in this type of holiday. Superb! Dorset, England

The location of this lovely cottage could not have been better! The views were outstanding and the cottage perfectly perfect! We had a power surge which blew the television and the owners replaced it in super quick time, they were amazing! We saw otters and seals and honestly would go back in a heartbeat!

This cottage was in an ideal position for our holiday. It was close to small towns, but isolated as well. It was right by the sea. I loved its location and definitely plan to go again. The cottage contributed to an excellent holiday

I booked this cottage with the minimum of fuss, and when we arrived I was not disappointed. It was cosy and warm once the heaters were on. The Wifi was a plus as well. The location - out of this world - a few yards to the sea. We never saw any of the advertised wildlife, but we were there at a time when they wouldn't be so active. The road was interesting getting to the cottage but not impossible.

If you like solitude then this is the place for you all you can hear is the sound of the water lapping on the shore and the birds calling, with the odd fishing boat coming and going. The walks are wonderful either along the shore or through the forest taking in the Otter hide along the way. Unfortunately we did not see any Otters but we did see Seals and a couple of Dolphin along with a short glimpse of the Northern Lights, to be fair that was the reason we choose this spot and we were not disappointed. The cottage was warm and welcoming on our arrival with wine and Ginger cookies waiting for us and well equipped and clean. Just be aware it is isolated with the nearest facilities about 10 miles away it was not a problem for us just as we like it. Go on give your soul at treat.
