I've been away with the same friends every year for the last ten so have good experience of different properties. Quarter cottage had both good and bad points,
There were six of us with two couples so plenty of room for the two couples to share a room and the two single people to have a room to themselves.
Good points: The rooms are spacious, the cottage appears relatively small from outside but there are generous bedrooms, a large lounge and a large kitchen/diner. There is nothing worse than a small kitchen/diner where it' difficult to move. In this day and age it also had an excellent w-fi connection. The TV has Sky.
Bad points: The crockery/cups/mugs mainly consisted of not enough of the same set, there were only three proper soup bowls, there were only five mugs, there were enough plates.
There were six of us and if we had a full meal that meant a lot of washing. There was no dishwasher, this is the first place that I have stayed in that di NOT have a dishwasher. This place has a maximum capacity of nine people, the fact that there is no dishwasher seems a serious oversight, especially as there is a washing machine and tumble dryer. WE had Sky TV, I would have much preferred to have had a dishwasher and Freeview. There was room for a Dishwasher if a shelf was put in the Crockery cupboard and the drawers were used for storage.
Finally, the bathroom was large and pleasant but the lock didn't work, there were five of us using the upstairs bathroom primarily but couldn't lock the door when it was occupied. The shower was great but didn't drain fast enough, nearly had it overflow once.
