The cottage was perfect for what we were looking for; escape from the hustle and bustle, and a base from which to go walking. The open fire and cosiness of the cottage combined with its view made it perfect for a quiet weekend away from it all.

A lovely quaint little cottage in a beautiful remote location. Very rustic and cosy.

The cottage is beautiful; very homely and welcoming. It was nice to see that the kitchen still retained its cottagey feel and hadn't been fitted out with modern units. High Moss House is isolated, but that was what we were looking for, surrounded by stunning scenery and just the sheep, lambs and birds for company. We would highly recommend it!

The location, the overall feel of the place - cosy and welcoming - the peace and quiet, the surrounding countryside and view etc were superb and the little cottage couldn't have been better. It suited us perfectly; we all loved it.

Peaceful cottage in a lovely valley. Plenty of great walks straight from the door. First proper holiday with the baby and she enjoyed it.

This is a gorgeous little cottage completely off the beaten track - no phone signal, no internet, just the sound of blackbirds, bumblebees and chaffinches. Complete peace and quiet, and a lovely base for exploring an unspoilt area of the Lake District. After some damp walks, it was lovely to come back and light a real fire in the living room. and the cottage was also well supplied with books and games. Our six-year-old loved being able to roam the little field area outside the cottage, exploring the streams and rocks in true little-boy fashion!
