We chose to stay in Landrake as this was an area of Cornwall that we did not know. The cottage was easy to find, and was in a pleasant village with a shop/post office and pub. All the facilities mentioned in the brochure and online were available. We choose our cottage carefully to ensure that we have a good holiday.
2 Port View Terrace had a bathroom and a separate shower/toilet. There was good heating and plenty hot water - particularly welcome this summer as we got wet and cold exploring the coast and countryside due to the persistant rain! The bed was comfortable, and the rooms, including the kitchen, were a good size. The washing machine and tumble dryer both worked well. The garden, with many lovely flowers, would have been delightul - if the rain had stopped!
We were able to visit the coast, and several country houses (NT and otherwise), as well as Bodmin Moor(and Jamaica Inn). Bodmin, Fowey, Rame Head, Liskeard and many small villages were all easily explored. For those who want a 'big town' experience, Plymouth is close by.
We enjoyed the convenient location and comfort of the cottage and are happy to recommend it to other holiday makers.
