This holiday was perfect for our situation and so comfortable and restful. The cottage had everything we could possibly want. The owner of the cottage clearly wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We'd love to come again.

The property is situated only a few minutes walk into Matlock Bath, with very good views from the living room window of the fireworks from the Matlock illuminations festival. The Coach House Mews is a lovely place to stay, clean and well furnished with a good layout. A real home from home with everything you could possibly need, even games and puzzles for when the weather is not so good. We really enjoyed our stay!

The property was clean, spacious and well equipped. It was in a great location, on the doorstep of the town yet felt quiet and secluded. Within easy walking distance of the train station and Heights of Abraham attraction, several pubs and dining possibilities within walking distance and local play areas/amusement arcades for the children. We had a great family holiday!

The house had a wonderful airy feel to it that everyone liked. The beds were really comfortable.Lots of tourist information leaflets for us to sift through. Really liked how central it was in Matlock Bath, with great Indian, Chinese and Italian restaurants, and good quality tea rooms with friendly staff.

The weather was amazing, and the location within Matlock Bath was fantastic at making the most of what the town had to offer. The location of Matlock Bath within Derbyshire made it easy to see everything we wanted. We absolutely loved our time there, one of the best holidays we can remember.

Very comfortable and well equipped cosy Mews property in Matlock Bath with comfy beds all round. A good central location in Derbyshire for visiting local attractions keeping children entertained (ages 5 to 9) ranging from cable car and Gulliver's Kingdom rides to good local walks and nearby lake to cycle around. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Many Thanks.

We came to stay here in August for a weeks holiday with family. The accommodation was situated well. It was only a few seconds walk down to the main road but far enough away so it was nice a quiet. The accommodation was clean and spacious. The kitchen was really well equipped for self catering, with everything you could need on hand: eg: grater, salad spinner etc. The welcome teas, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits was a really nice touch. Tea towels and towels were provided. Will definitely be recommending to others and will stay again in the future.

Lovely house in a great location and extremely well kitted out! I would question why this property is only rated 3 ticks on Sykes website though, as I have stayed in a 5 tick property and I'm not sure what was so much better about the other one!

We were very pleased with the central location and good parking. The overall standard of the decor and general comfort of both the beds and settees was very welcoming as were the tea and biscuits! It was great to have a bedroom and wet room on the ground floor as my daughter and her boyfriend could watch TV without disturbing the rest of us!

Great holiday cottage in the centre of Matlock Bath, walking distance to a range of pubs, railway station and attractions. Situated in quiet mews you get the best of both worlds. No distance at all to the moors, Chatsworth and the historic mills. The house is warm and cosy, modern and very family friendly. Would use as a base again if visiting the area.

We have just returned from a fantastic week in the peak district, enjoying some of the only sunny weather to hit the UK in June and staying at the most fantastically appointed house in the gorgeous town of Matlock Bath. The house we stayed in is ideally positioned to see the best of this small historic town. The house itself is luxurious, spacious and a joy to relax in. My and my partner have holidayed in 5 cottages throughout the UK over the past few years and this is by far the best we've stayed in. The main living area is L-shaped and is a combined kitchen, dining and living room space. It measures approximately 23 ft by 19 ft. All of the fitments are of the highest quality and the rooms are immaculately clean. The small patio area was ideal for the three of us to sit and enjoy the fine Derbyshire weather and the way the Mews is arranged gave us a good deal of privacy whilst being only seconds away from the shops. There is a great selection of DVDs and games for times when the weather turns English and the owners have provided a whole basketful of fliers and ideas for where to visit. The en-suite shower/wetroom for the downstairs double bedroom feels indulgent and the upstairs bathroom, which services the double/twin and the single/twin, is beautifully light and airy, even despite the dorma windows. Our only concern was for parking - for some of the week we had two cars with us and only one space is provided - the town though provides free parking for 1 hour between 8am and 6pm which effectively means parking from 5pm at night through to 9am in the morning - perfectly adequate if you're using the car to explore Derbyshire. We absolutely loved this place and were sad when the time came to say goodbye to it.

The cottage was so light and airy!Everything you could need for preparing meals was in the kitchen -plus a dishwasher! My 2 longtime school friends and I really enjoyed relaxing in one separate bedroom each. When they went home after finishing their weekend, my husband joined me to for the rest of the week. The master bedroom is all by itself on the lowest floor, and completely private - with its own wet room. We all loved how close it was to the town centre, and thoroughly recommend the curry house on the corner of the street. The only bit I didn't like was trying to park my car in the tight space at the front of the property, which was up a steep incline. I used my car parking token to go over to the railway station and park the car there. Out and about, the open air swimming pool at Hathersage was great fun, as was climbing the rocks at Surprise View, close to Hathersage. The Richard arkwright Cotton Mill museum around the corner from Matlock was totally absorbing- then we went next door to spend money at the Masson Mills store.

Stayed here for two nights - went to Gulliver's Kingdom and saw the Matlock Bath Ilumincated and Decorated Floats. The overall standard of accomodation is very high - like new and three good size bedrooms and two baths. Lots of space and fully appointed kitchen with dishwasher. Ideal for group or family, with DVD played, satellite TV (freeview channels) games and guides to local area. Space for one car and walking distance to the town and cable car to Heights of Abraham.
