6 Phoenix Building is a contemporary ground floor apartment in a beautifully converted watermill building, in the area of Litton Mill in the Peak District. There are three lovely bedrooms - one very large master suite with super king-size double, TV and en-suite, a further double room and a twin, each with their own en-suite bathroom. The open plan living area offers a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside, there is off road parking for up to two cars, one in a secure underground space, and guests enjoy shared use of the communal landscaped grounds. With the walks, cycle trails, historic houses and theme parks of the Peak District on the doorstep, 6 Phoenix Buildings is a stylish and welcoming retreat for families, friends or couples alike.

Area
Litton Mill is a village on the River Wye, close to the heart of the Peak District. Nearby is Litton, with village green, community shop and 17th century pub. The Monsal Trail runs past, forming an 8.5 miles trail for walking or cycling which follows the hills above the river and through spectacular countryside. Visit Tideswell, Castleton or Bakewell, or enjoy the rides at Alton Towers!

The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. It was very well equipped in the kitchen. Everything in the apartment was to a high standard especially the mattresses on the beds. Have been to Derbyshire many times but only seen a small section of Millers Dale before. Would highly recommend this valley. Lots of beautiful walks from the apartment without having to get the car out.

The apartment is superb as is the location. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the spacious, airy rooms - which benefit from so much light from the large windows - are relaxing. The sound of the River Wye running past is very relaxing too. Having the underground garage is very convenient and makes entry to the property easy. Being next to the Monsal Trail is wonderful for walkers/bikers and there are wonderful small towns to visit. The fridge and freezer are of substantial size and the cooking appliances are first rate. We'd not visited the Peak District before, but shall certainly return to this stunning and beautiful part of the country. The communication between ourselves and the owners was very helpful, and the keys arrived in plenty of time before our holiday. We really appreciated the Wifi and having the outgoing payphone too. The huge TV in the living room is like having your own cinema, but do take your own DVDs. All in all, a wonderful location for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, with plenty of opportunity to walk in the stunning countryside right on the doorstep.

The property was stunning - both inside and out. It was spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The location was beautiful, with the river running past every window, and so close to the Monsal Trail - perfect for walking and cycling. We spent a wonderful Christmas here and will definitely return.

This was an excellent base for a walking holiday in the Derbyshire Dales. The apartment was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The mill has an interesting history and its situation on the Monsal Trail meant that we could do a number of walks without using the car. We will definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to others.

This is a beautiful apartment, spacious, airy and exceedingly comfortable. It is furnished to a high standard and the beds are very comfortable indeed. The kitchen is very well equipped with first class appliances and equipment. Sainsbury will deliver to the apartment, which we found of huge help as it meant we were able to stock up for the week (the fridge and freezer are of a very good size) and so not have to shop whilst on holiday. There is parking outside Litton Mill, with a 2nd space in the underground car park, a lift takes you from the car park to inside the building itself. The River Wye runs alongside the apartment, the sound of the water is very relaxing. Litton Mill is in a valley below the Monsal Trail, which is easily reached (a bit of a climb but not too strenuous) by walking to River Cottage (which you pass on the way in to Litton Mill) turning a sharp left at River Cottage and crossing a small footbridge, then following the path up to the Trail. The Trail offers 8.5 miles of level and even walking/cycling, suitable for all ages and abilities. The views alongside and off the Trail are beautiful. We visited Chatsworth House, would recommend buying the audio guide which adds to the enjoyment of this stunning stately home. Eating in the Chatsworth Farm Shop Restaurant was a delight and also costs approximately 50% less than if you eat in the restaurant next to the House itself. The Farm Shop also stocks a wonderful array of local yummy goodies to buy. Visiting Chatsworth and the beauiful gardens there takes about a day to make the most of it all. The Tramway Museum at Crich is well worth a visit, you need about half a day. We also visited Cromford Mills, with its art and craft shops and a delightful restaurant. The Denby Outlet Store in Derby is also well worth a visit with prices about 50% discounted. The scenery in the area is just stunning, make sure you take enough batteries for your camera! Buxton, Tideswell and Matlock Bath are all worth a visit. We noticed on Trip Advisor that the bath towels are of the small variety, so took our own. It's also worth packing a tea towel (there is a dish washer) for drying up small amounts. There is a hair dryer supplied in the apartment. The apartment has a huge tv in the living room, so it's worth packing some of your favourite dvd's to relax to after a day's walking/sight seeing. We didn't use any of the local pubs, so can't comment on them. If you visit Tideswell the local store sells freshly made Fidgety Pie (a local speciality) well worth trying! Can recommend their Tidza pies too, a local take on a Bakewell Tart. The bookshop in Tideswell is amazing and worth visiting just to see how the books are stored! Local roads are very good, some of the smaller ones naturally a little winding; we had no difficulty finding Litton Mill from the owner's instructions. We had a wonderful week and would love to return to Litton Mill again.
