It was a beautiful cottage - superbly maintained and situated. The amenities were excellent and the beds were comfortable and clean. The area is truly stunning and we could not have asked for any more. The owners, whilst available, did not bother us and were most helpful. I would happily recommend this cottage

It was a lovely cottage which was all on the one level, that was good for our needs. The surrounding views are beautiful. It is also within a nice car run to nearby places such as Oban etc.

We especially enjoyed the peaceful location of the cottage. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard, but still retains character, and was lovely to return to after a day's walking and sight seeing. We enjoyed hill walking, but also being able to relax in such beautiful surroundings. Our dog enjoyed his holiday too, so many new walks.

Had a wonderful New Year break in the cottage. There was plenty of space for the kids to run about. The double and twin rooms were great sizes and the single was perfect for our 6 year old. The cottage had everything we needed and was a lovely cosy place to come back to after battling the elements! A beautiful rural setting, thank you so much. Hope to be back!

Very peaceful - although we loved hearing the deer. We had some spectacular views of the stars - no light pollution here. The cottage was really comfortable and welcoming and the area has plenty to offer but not too busy despite it being a school holiday. The road outside was really very quiet and was great for cycling along. A really lovely cottage - a week was too short.

The cottage was just what we liked, there was nothing to find fault with and we have enjoyed the stay more than any of the other places we have stayed at. We will definately book again next time we visit Scotland.

The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans utensils. The setting is idyllic with peace quiet with only a short drive to the main road to Dalmally.

The house is situated in a really beautiful area. The views were amazing. It is also very central and in driving distance to many tourist attractions. The cottage had enough room for three adults and two dogs. The bed rooms and kitchen had very good sizes. The bathroom was spotless and had a power shower. The best part of the house was the living room with its fire place. We spent all evenings in front of a crackling fire. We definitely would book this cottage again and want to say thank you to the owners for a wonderful stay.

The owners were wonderful hosts; available if needed but not intrusive. They had thought of everything that holiday- makers might need for their stay. There was a lovely tea tray with scones and jam on arrival. The location was superb - just what we wanted for a relaxing family break. It was remote enough to get away from it all, but close enough to Oban and other places of interest to be convenient. The cottage has recently been refurbished. It was very well equipped, comfortable, clean and bright and contained everything that we needed. It was a lovely place to return to, especially when the fire was lit in the evening. The added bonus was that we had sunshine for much of the week and we made several trips down to the nearby river in the evenings as it stayed light until after 10pm.

We enjoyed our stay at Achnafalnich very much. Beautiful surroudings, a warm welcome with scones, a clean and nicely decorated house and with only deer as neigbours! The children loved to explore the surrouding area!

A very comfortable little cottage. It was very quiet but in October the deer on the hills kept us entertained! We had two dogs with us and the only drawback was that the garden was not enclosed. It meant that they had to be kept on leads as the road - albeit a very quiet one - was right outside the house. The owners were very welcoming and helpful ( fresh scones on arrival). We hope to return this year as we enjoyed it so much.

Fabulous setting away from the hustle & bustle of modern life. The cottage is very comfortable with everything you could need, books and games for days spent in if required. Would recommend as a base to visit other areas of this beautiful area. A big thank you to Iain & Pat for making the cottage so homely.
