April 2010

Good location for the Northern lakes, good pubs in village, newspapers and post office in village. Modern house, good information inside, well equipped everything you need for a comfy stay.

Jan 2010

The cottage is in a great location for visiting the whole of the lakes area and is easy to access from major roads. The village is well served by two pubs both serving good food. Great walks in the area short and long great for dog owners.

Jan 2010

Ideally located for walks and very good pubs. The cottage is really pleasant, parking provided and a very good utility room. Three decent sized bedrooms, 3 toilets 2 shower rooms.

July 2009

Clean, neat, tidy well laid out and well equipped.

July 2009

The weather was very typical for the Lake District and we had our share of rain, even in August. There was plenty to do, the cottage was large enough for the six of us and the play park opposite and the stream behind provided extra fun for the children. The local children were very friendly and keen to make friends with our two.. The cottage was very well equipped and spacious. The owners were very friendly and on hand in the event of any queries.

April 2007

May 2012

A very enjoyable holiday apart from the weather, but what can one expect in May in Britain! A very nice cottage with all the amenities one could wish for. Very spacious with 6 adults and two infants (we did however take an additonal sleeper for 1 of the babes). Easy for access to many parts of the Lake District. Fab central heating; in fact we had to turn it off at times.

Feb 2012

Appletree cottage is a lovely friendly place to stay, close to the mountains if hillwalking is your holiday. The cottage is well equipped with appliances, furnishings and very comfortable. An excellent place to stay.

Sept 2011

Everything you could need supplied and very comfortable furnishings. Two local pubs, serving good food, within walking distance. Plenty of walks and attractions including excellent "Theatre by the Lake" at Keswick, Honister slate mine, Eskdale to Ravenglass Railway and Steam Gondola at Coniston.

July 2011

A fantastic quiet location within easy access of Keswick and surrounding areas. A great place to return to after busy days out. Could not add anything to the cottage that would make it better as was perfect and had everything you could need.

July 2011

A lovely Cumbrian cottage with a very well equipped kitchen. Based at the foot of Blencathra, with easy access to Keswick and the added benefit of 2 fantastic local pubs, within walking distance for excellent meals.

June 2011

The owners were most welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. It was quiet in the evening and the views from the cottage were excellent.
