Ash Lodge is a truly lovely chalet, in a beautiful setting. The owner was accommodating, welcoming and courteous. We needed for nothing! All in all a great holiday and a retreat that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

On arrival to the site, the setting and the lodge were impressive. On entering the lodge I was even more impressed and continued to be impressed throughout our stay. First class.

Spectacular property in a great, country location. All amenities first rate. Owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. If you love the country this place is for you. Sitting on the front porch with wine and cheese was heaven.

Liked the quietness of the location and setting, and the pub/restaurant close by. This place is a little drop of heaven, this is the second year we've been and we can't find anything better for what we want from a holiday.

Ash Lodge isin a beautiful location and is of a very high standard both decoratively and the quality of furnishings. We stayed with friends, who were in one of the other lodges there too for Christmas, and we all cannot rate the properties highly enough. The pub that serves excellent food is a couple of minutes walk. All the staff and the owner, couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating to us. The lodges are very well equipped, very warm with all the home comforts you could want. Ideal for a relaxing chill out and the surrounding areas are very picturesque, Ross on Wye and Ledbury are nearby which are well worth a visit and many golf courses in the vicinity if that's your thing. We will return definitely and would thoroughly recommend these properties, and the pub - excellent!!!

The Lodge was superb, you could not have wanted anything better. The quality of the bedding towels was excellent. The staff at the pub where the lodges are were very helpful friendly and polite at all times, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a short break as well. Wishing the owners continuing success.

The Lodge that we stayed in at Glasshouse was wonderful. The rooms were warm, clean and comfortable as was the lounge area. The bathrooms were very clean and the shower was excellent. The Glasshouse Inn was very welcoming and we had several very enjoyable meals there during the course of our stay. We will be back another time to the same site and will highly recommend it to all our friends and family.

The owners were welcoming on arrival but then totally unobtrusive. Their pub serves really good food in a beautiful setting. A perfect place for a holiday hideaway. The Lodge is spotless, the WiFi works easily very reliably and the furnishings are of a very good standard. We're very happy to recommend this Lodge to other tourists.

Deluxe, spacious and comfortable lodge, hidden in a beautiful landscape with plenty to see and do nearby. We cycled around the Forest of Dean, went horse riding, explored the deep level caves at Clearwell. Visited Gloucester, enjoyed a tour of the Three Choirs Vineyard, were amazed by the show at the International Centre for Birds of Prey, and enjoyed plenty of picturesque walks in the hills around the lodge. The lodge itself was faultless - the perfect base for great holiday and a super place to relax and unwind.

We've stayed in many rentals and this one was absolutely perfect in brand new condition, every amenity we needed, in a beautiful setting and we enjoyed the most delicious food at the local pub a few evenings.

The peace and serenity of the situation of Ash Lodge. It was so good to be able to see sheep in the fields and listen to the birds singing their songs. We were also able to visit so many places of interest whilst in the area. We can thoroughly recommend this log cabin in a perfect vacation spot.

It was stated quite firmly that this is an adult only site. On enquiring, it was ok for our 16 year old Grandson to come with us and stay to help us set up camp and the 5 year old could visit - I emphasised that he was well behaved. The site was very quiet but the lodge was very well furnished and lots of nice touches with some food and storecupboard ingredients were there. I even taught my 16 yr old grandson to play chess with the board there - and we had free wifi... The Owners were very helpful. I find the comments regarding the Pub annoying. The Landlord/owner is not anti children, indeed, we met his Grandchildren who were very well behaved and friendly. I am in a wheelchair/scooter and not ideal for me to get about but I was aware of that before we went. (I am not one of those who feel I need 100% access to everything). The patio area was a sun trap and there were plenty of places to get to in the car. Feel it would be great if you like walking. Plenty of farm shops nearby. Our Family stayed nearby and we met up in the Forest of Dean and many local beauty spots. We will be back.

The chalet was in excellent order throughout, and in a superb location. It was beautifully quiet, and we were able to have a relaxing time. The nearby pub served excellent food also, so we did not bother with much cooking. The Royal Forest of Dean was within easy reach, by car, and we enjoyed the choice of walks. Our trip to Clearwell caves provided us with another wonderful day out, and was also within easy reach, again by car. We ought to have booked a longer holiday as it was over so quickly!

Quiet and secluded location adjacent to a great pub selling good food and real ales. A good base from which to explore the area. Accommodation very comfortable and furnished to a high standard, exceptionally clean throughout. We would certainly recommend staying here.

We stayed at ash lodge for three nights and wished we had booked just a bit longer. The accommodation is excellent, contemporary, very airy and spacious with a well equipped kitchen, en suite shower room and further bathroom. The provision of a welcome pack with breakfast essentials was a nice touch, as were the fresh flowers and fruit. The location is on the outskirts of the Forest of Dean, a few miles from Ross on wye, and whilst out in the sticks, with the pub a mere 200m walk away a local meal out was an easy option. Despite being close to the pub, the location was very peaceful. The owners are very helpful and have really put together a very high standard of accommodation. The towels were huge, soft, fluffy and plentiful and the wifi exceptionally good, a pre-requisite in our family with two teenagers. I would not hesitate to recommend glasshouse lodges, they are identically kitted out and decorated so there is little to choose between the three other than top, middle and bottom. Note: children are accepted over 14 years of age only, if yours are borderline contact them directly to discuss.
