Nice cosy cottage in the peaceful main street of Ravenglass. Wonderful views of the estuary from the back bedrooms, direct access to the beach from small back yard.
You will need to bring your own towels, as well as tea and coffee etc.
Plates and cups provided are rather chunky, we ended up buying our own mugs, because the tea tasted better from them!
Coal fire is great and will heat your water, so no need to use the immersion heater.
The house can be a bit chilly ( we were there in May ) so bring warm clothes and get the fire going!
There is a charge for electricity used over and above the first ten pounds, we used the heating occasionally , the cooker every day for a week and were still well under the £10 free limit, so don't let that worry you.
Rear access to the beach is by a metal ladder, this may be a factor if you have small children.
Cottage is dog friendly and ours had a great time on the beach!
All in all, its good value for money in a splendid location.
