We did not have to worry about a single thing regarding the cottage; it was wonderful, well appointed and perfectly situated. The owners were very nice. Therefore,we could just go ahead and enjoy the beautiful Forest of Dean and all the walks and visits.
November 2014
It is hard to describe the overall enjoyment and relaxation that I gained from the ambiance generated from both the accommodation and location. Starting with the warm welcome I received from Duncan and the welcome pack of bread, eggs and beer and lit log-burner by Tanya, through to the tranquility of the setting and abundance of wildlife. If you are looking for a very clean, modern, high quality yet secluded base, either to just relax at or as a starting point for day trips, I cannot recommend this high enough. Try the Crooked End Farm shop too, it does fantastic coffee and a good range of local of home grown organic meat and veg

A real escape from the hustle and bustle. Time to rewind and recharge batteries. The furnishings were modern and tasteful, and all included all you could need to chill out. Set in beautiful countryside, albeit a little remote if you like to be close to a town an amenities.

This was one of the nicest holidays I've ever had. Lovely hosts and a beautiful location, the cottage could not have been better. All in all I would recommend this location for anyone looking for peace and quiet, superb scenery, and the wild flower garden is something else, which in the peak must be a riot of colour, plus wildlife galore. The holiday was a joy and I will be returning.

Bailey Point Cottage is superb in every way - located well into the country away from it all, just what we wanted for a week of relaxation. The equipment in the Cottage is top notch and there was plenty of it - we could not fault it in any way and my sister with whom I shared the holiday was impressed with the quality of everything. The owners were lovely too - we cannot recommend this Cottage highly enough - long may it continue.
Mrs Rudall

Location - away from it all in the forest. Walks directly from the cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed.
October 2016
Bailey Cottage is tucked away in the middle of the forest, lots of stunning walks and wildlife on your doorstep. The owners have put a lot of thought into the accommodation, the bed is very comfortable. Each room is equipped for your every need. The owners make you very welcome and are on hand if you need them. They have horses, ducks, a cat and a bouncy dog who all add to the enjoyment. We felt at home straight away and staying in on a dark night with the wood burner going and a glass of wine was a perfect way to relax. If your into bird watching we managed to see, 18 Goldfinches, Robins, Long Tailed Tits, Great Tits, Blue Tits, Green and Spotted Woodpecker, Nut Hatch, Jay and Buzzards.. We also where very privileged to see a stunning fox at the Wigpool close by. We will go back and feel that any other places we stay now will have a lot to live up to.

What a drive to the cottage after you left the main road as you delved deeper and deeper into the forest. Right away I could feel myself starting to relax. We were greeted at the cottage by the owner who gave us a quick tour and then left us to chill out and relax. The cottage is beautifully laid out and very clean and so so quiet. Sitting in the garden was fantastic. Night time too was equally super where you were surrounded in complete darkness due to no 'light pollution'. This was getting better and better in fact the sky was so clear that during the night the meteor showers we were told about were awesome although I did only see two. Would I recommend this place for a holiday? A big yes jumps out. The instructions and directions given to the cottage were spot on. Now a word of caution but this in no way has to do with the cottage. It is advisable to have a proper AA / RAC road map or, like us, you'll have fun with the sat nav. Work out where you are going first and if you disagree with the sat nav trust your instincts. It took us two days to work out the the parallel road was better than the directions the sat nav were using. This is by far and away the best holiday cottage we have stayed in and we would hurry back.

This cottage is ideally located for exploring various counties and places around the Cotswolds. The owner Tanya is a lovely lady and greets you upon arrival with a freshly home baked loaf and 6 duck eggs. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and is well equipped. Great surroundings for a walk. No question we are returning in 2016 it was that impressive. A great shower. If you are a family there is adequate seating outside with a swingball. A lovely colourful garden
May 2016
The owners were friendly and welcoming. The property, which was set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, had an extremely comfortable bed and excellent shower and kitchen facilities.
May 2015
We have just spent 2 weeks at Bailey Point Cottage and feel like we found paradise. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The owners Tanya and Duncan were there to meet us and help with our luggage and gave us a very friendly welcome, there was a loaf of homemade bread and 6 eggs left in the cottage for us which we much appreciated. Their friendliness continued throughout our stay, delivering logs for the log burner stove and also bringing a bottle of wine and some chocolate cake for my husbands birthday. Within their grounds they have 2 horses, some sheep, ducks and a very enthusiastic dog called Huxley, there is also deer and wild boar within the forest. The surrounding grounds are so beautiful and peaceful, you can walk for miles and just hear birds singing and sheep baaing. It's a truly away from it all holiday but there are lots of things to do within a few miles, the canal cruise at symonds yat was very enjoyable followed by a delicious meal at the Saracen inn. If shopping is your thing then the Ross Label shopping village is a must, lots of choice for men and women plus bedding, China and gifts, again a very nice lunch is available at a reasonable price. The scenery in this area is stunning and we both came away feeling really rested and relaxed. We are definitely going back to Bailey Point Cottage next year.
