The cottage was cosy, clean and welcoming. The village was peaceful with beautiful scenery and a stones throw from the beach. Excellent walks and friendly locals. We had the perfect holiday.

All in all a cracking place to stay. The main village is a nice walk along the coast, it's a great get away and the owner was very helpful when I needed to call her. 9/10, will be returning.

The cottage was ideal for our needs, the location was really good to get to places of interest. We were blessed with excellent weather which made our stay even better. It was a lovely place to come back to at the end of a day. We will certainly recommend it to friends and hope to return ourselves.

This was a disappointing holiday let down by the property. On arrival, the house was dirty, I had to wash a cup before I could make a drink. The following morning, my daughter informed me that there was dried milk in the bottom of the cereal bowl. Consequently we didn't eat in other than breakfast. The river is incredibly noisy, this would have be better if there was double glazing in the property, but it is all (with the exception of the patio doors) old wooden frames that let in so much draft and noise. Upstairs, there are bare wooden floorboards, this would have ok if the were level but they were all over the place. Also the floor was sticky to walk on, I had to clean this too. The garden across the road may have been acceptable if you could see, it was overgrown. I couldn't let my dog have a little run in there. This also seems to be used by the neighbours? The house is cold, due to windows, but it has only 2 electric wall mounted panel heaters. One was in the small bedroom and the other at the side of the front door facing the stairs. Parking is more like 3 minutes walk away, up the hill, past other houses on the far side of the village hall. I did park closer on the first day, but as we went to go out we found that a neighbour had parked blocking me in. This was a private car park I later found out and even after apologising to the resident concerned I felt very unwelcome. There was supposed to be other parking but again at the risk of offending neighbours, I didn't use any of the roadside parking. Luckily, none of this spoilt our holiday as we spend most of our time out and only used it to sleep in. It would make me think twice before booking a holiday let again.
