The cottage was exactly as described and was spotlessly clean. The owners were on site if you needed anything. There was a pub just around the corner which sold very good food and it was very central for plenty of places to visit.

Comfortable cottage - well equipped and with an en suite bathroom off the bedroom with a good powerful shower provided by the combi gas boiler. Useful Wifi facility since the mobile phone signals in this area can be a bit patchy. Located centrally for exploring the spectacular coastal scenery and beaches, North York Moors and the Vale of York. The local Buck Inn in the village is just round the corner and serves up good wholesome food.

Very quiet cottage within easy reach of all attractions. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, as were the local people.

Bay cottage is a delightful cottage in a lovely location. The cottage is spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you could ask for. The owners are very pleasant and couldn't be more helpful. Although there are not many facilities in Wrelton itself, bar the local pub, it is close to many larger villages and towns which do have plenty facilities. Pickering, Thornton Le Dale, Whitby, Scarborough and York are all within day trip range and there are many interesting local attractions such as the Ryedale Folk Museum nearby. The cottage felt like home from home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a beautiful part of the country.

This was our first trip away with our year-old puppy. We were a bit nervous but it all went brilliantly. The owners of Bay Cottage were so thoughtful and kind; everything we needed was there and we were very comfy, able to relax and look after ourselves. A great base from which to explore North Yorks, although everywhere we went involved driving; there wasn't much in the village itself, but there was a wonderful friendly little pub round the corner which we made lots of use of. They welcomed Dougal too. Just needed to be mindful that the door of the cottage opened right into a drive that wasn't closed off to a busy road. Didn't use the garden area in the end; it wasn't quite as secluded as we thought. But didn't need to - everything lovely in the cottage and we were out everyday doing fun things. Beautiful, clean, stylish and cosy. Lovely four-poster bed! Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bay Cottage and wish we'd had a longer time there, and most definitely plan to book again our next visit to Yorkshire. The hosts were efficient, friendly and helpful, all amenities were in perfect order, and the location suited our own needs perfectly, with a real plus being the proximity of the local pub. There were only two problems (which are manageable in pleasant, dry weather): mobile phone coverage was non-existent, and we had to walk outdoors and up a street to get coverage; also, the beautiful facilities would have been improved with the addition of a couple of towel rods inside the bathroom (there was ample space for them) in addition to the small drying rack outside the bath in the bedroom.

A really lovely cottage best we have stayed in. Perfect base for touring the area. The cottage was a real home from home and lacked nothing. One really nice touch was a really pretty towel rack in the bedroom as bathroom had limited space this worked really well. The welcome tea tray and a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival made us feel very welcome. Tracy and her husband were on hand if any problems arose but were not needed they provided everything for a wonderful stay.

we were very welcomed by the owners and very pleased with our welcome pack, tea, coffee, milk, flapjacks etc. the cottage is excellently equipped with all our daily needs down to cutlery plates pots and pans we did not want for anything and if we did it was not a problem. We visited many lovely villages and also went for a journey on the steam train to Whitby. We were very lucky with the weather also blue sky from morning until evening.
