Liked the comfort of the cottage and the possibility of lighting a fire on the cold evenings. Every part of the cottage was clean. Liked the situation of the cottage amid stunning scenery.

The location of this property suited me perfectly, away from the main road and it was very quiet, lovely and peaceful. The beach is only a short stroll away and the views of the countryside are beautiful.

We had such an enjoyable holiday; the property is so safe for children to play in, and the scenery is just breathtaking. The owner is a lovely lady, who responds to all requests promptly and graciously. All in all I would totally recommend this property, and we will be returning!

The cottage was in a very good location, and the owner was outstanding in her assistance. Perfect size and I would definitely stay there or recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Beautiful, breathtaking scenery.

The cottage was in a great location, 20 stroll into the village and 10 minutes from the beach. The cottage was well equipped with laundry and kitchen appliances and cable TV. No internet however, but that made the morning walks to the Mine Museum Cafe that much more fun (free internet and YUMMY cakes & pies!). Mrs Sheahan was a delite to deal with, and was very helpful and attentive to our questions and needs.

We're back from Allihies and very disappointed from the Cottage. The description on your site (Westcork Cottages.ie) is wrong. It does not show the cottage where we stayed. The images also do not show the device. We have assumed that we live alone in a house and not in a Holiday Village, but we had to share the house with another family. To pay for half a house 440, -Euro is too much money. For that we can have one week B & B (included breakfast ). Although we had 2 bedrooms but only one bathroom with a shower. It was so small we could hardly move around us. The hose to the shower was damaged and patched with plastic tape. As agreed, we announced us, but were not received by the caretaker. We were informed which house-number we have and that the key would be stuck. It seems to be that another date was more important. Only a day later was explained to us how to get hot water. On that day the tube was replaced at the shower. There are some other issues that were negative. We have reported Sheila and she exchanged a rusty pot. But even offered that we could get back the money and take off. Another house she has not offered to us. These things were not correct: - We had no place/house for ourselves - No reception by the caretaker - Shower hose defective (was traded) - a pot inside rusty (was exchanged) - Cutlery was rusty - Rusted washing machine - - Rusted refrigerator - - Extractor hood/canopy was completely rusty - Kitchen curtain dirty and damaged -No Starter Pack for the fireplace - Hot water at the WHB in the bathroom stopped working at the end
