The whole experience was lovely, it was a nice retreat. Great for taking a dog as there were several walking areas within walking distance, or you could travel a couple of miles. Overall I give it 5 stars.

A lovely cosy little cottage. It was very clean and well supplied. The wood burner was lovely and the heating was very efficient for when we were not using this.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, cosy and perfect for a long weekend away. It's set in the middle of the hills and although there were in effect only 3 rooms in total, it was perfect for 2. The touches left by the owners with all details and instructions were completely adorable, and it left us with ease that if anything happened, we could get in touch with the relevant people. Everything had been thought of in advance which made it even easier to relax - absolutely perfect!

The holiday was lovely and the cottage was beautiful and cosy with the log fire. The cottage has lots of character and is decorated very tastefully. It is a great base to explore the lower lake district and only a short drive to Windermere or Coniston Water. As described it is a nice romantic getaway cottage and there were many nice touches with the decor.
