It had been newly refurbished to a high standard. It had a nice garden, car parking and was in a quiet little village near a good sized town.

A lovely village location, with easy access to the lakes. Peace and quiet. We liked the wood burning stove and the dog friendliness of the cottage. Good local information in the guide and we especially liked the bathroom.

A lovely house full of character in a picturesque village and countryside. Would love to stay there again. I would recommend to get a torch and walk on the main street to see the stars without the city street lights. Wonderful.

The cottage was very pretty, clean and comfortable, and in a beautiful location with amenities close by, and it was close to the south lakes and the coast. We brought our dog with us and spent the week hiking and visiting local villages. There is a paved hallway entrance which was great for leaving muddy boots and dogs. Cumbria is very dog friendly and we felt welcome everywhere. We had a very relaxed holiday and have returned home refreshed. I didn't want to leave the cottage, it was so comfy and homely.
