This was a lovely holiday let which I would return to again. The Bay resort was fantastic, with everything we needed on hand. We took advantage of the swimming pool every day and the coffee shop/Italian restaurant was superb also, but by far the best bit for myself and my four year old was the wonderful beach! An ideal family break.

We have stayed at The Bay previously and think it is a very good development. The pub serves very good food and we like the swimming pool. The private beach is excellent with plenty of space and not too far away. The Bay is very child and dog friendly which is what we like.

The flat was beautiful. The site was lovely and of an excellent standard throughout. Particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, birdwatching in the flower meadows and also the considerate and friendly neighbours opposite. Also impressed with the fact that the site was really dog friendly. The entire holiday was delightful and so relaxing. The beach is beautiful too. There was plenty of interesting things to do in the area as well and lots of information in the flat regarding places to visit. Definitely hope to return.

The apartment was excellent as was the site, the facilities on site were good and cost effective. The site was clean and well kept. The walks and external areas were interesting and were ideal for our needs. I would certainly recommend this site. This location is ideal for exploring the North East coast, Moors and all that North Yorkshire has to offer.

- The property is nice, but is in need of redecorating the walls and carpets are marked and grubby. - A lot of the furniture is marked or broken Sofa was damaged inside so very uncomfortable, table all stained and marked, dining chairs ready for dropping to bits, coffee table stuck together with sellotape, drawers in main bedroom badly marked and damaged, the drawers in the other bedroom had totally dropped to pieces. - duvet and pillows were poor - towels were marked and well used. - There are no instructions in English for the washer/dryer so couldn't use it. - Could do wi fi The bay was lovely and would certainly re visit but would go for a property that was cared for.

We've just returned home from Blue waters cottage. What a lovely little home-from-home, we didn't want leave!Very comfortable, well equipped, and very cosy.Well suited to families, there are board games and dvds available for use. Two bathrooms which is very handy for a family of four. The kitchen is well equipped, we were able to cook full meals. I did use the washing machine, yes the instructions are not in English but I was easily able to figure out how to use it, and really appreciated it..I had much less washing to do on our return home than I usually would have.We love The Bay, and definitely hope to use this particular apartment again on future visits. The swimming pool, steam room and sauna are fab, use if these are included. We visited the Italian restaurant for breakfast on our last morning and was highly impressed. We have had an action packed week. We visited Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Robin hoods bay, discovered a brilliant little place called Boggle Hole which the children loved, and would definitely recommend a trip to Flamborough. Look out for harbour porpoise and seals ! Thank you for lending us your beautiful cottage :)

Having arrived in Filey after a gruelling journey up the a1 we picked up the key from the friendly cheerful folk at Esssential holidays. We then went to the bay, my first impression of the bay was it resembled oneof the edge of town starter home estates you see dotted about. We entered the maze of streets & tried to find our apartment we found the apartment number above & below but not ours in despair we searched then blundered into it. The door is round the back! Please please please put a note in the kitchen/master bedroom window telling people this. Aside from this glitch the site is great with pub cafe & swimmming pool. The apartment was extremely clean & well equipped the kids bedroom was a little small but sufficient to the purpose. The staff are lovely, friendly & helpful in the pool, bar, cafe & reception. There are free activities like shooting & archery during the day & aqua jets or waterwalkers in the pool for a modest charge. Filey Scarborough & Bridlington are only 20 mins car drive away & there are a couple of pubs a (brisk) walk away. In the words of arnie "I'll be back!"
