The accommodation and location were beautiful, 10/10. Very relaxing. It had a lovely paddock for my dog to run around. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends and would go back again.

Nice little cottage, well placed for touring the area. Nice little garden with a beautiful view. Everything in working order but above all a very helpful and friendly owner.

We had a really warm welcome from the owners on arrival, who showed us the property and the paddock, they were very helpful if we had any questions about location or anything else. The whole accommodation was superbly decorated and furnished. In the evening it was lovely sitting on the patio with a glass of wine each day with the dogs laying at our feet looking out over the Amber Valley.

The welcome from the owner, the large field for our dog to run around in and the small rear garden were lovely. The Tiger Inn which is next door provides excellent home-made food/real ale. Particularly enjoyed visit to Chatsworth and the Tram Museum.

No enclosed garden as such, it is a small paved terrace. To get to the terrace you go through the bathroom. Lovely view. Pretty basic property but clean. I loved the wet room shower though it was a little dark. Comfy bed. I would not describe it as dog friendly - having cleared up after our dog we were asked by the owner to take our dog poo to the nearest village!

We have stayed in many places and this is the first time we have felt we must write a review. The cottage is clean and reasonably well equipped. The views from the patio (accessed via the en suite!) are great, and we had some warm sunny days but still decided to come home two days early. The reasons: - There are notes on the walls in black and red biro, some in BLOCK CAPITALS and heavily underlined laying down the rules of the cottage about dogs, rubbish, recycling etc. When we left our dog asleep to walk to the village for some food we were pursued by the owners to be told we could not do this. (The dog is 14 years old and sleeps all evening at home-He sleeps even more heavily after a days walking) The walk to the pub is only short but there are hedges right up against the road and nowhere safe to get away from the traffic on the busy A517. The noise from the plumbing in the next cottage is horrendously loud and, unfortunately, the people staying there took showers at 6.30am one morning.
