LOCATION The cottage sits just yards from beach at one end of Slapton Sand (a 3-mile stretch of golden coastline) on the South Devon Coastal Path. Torcross is a traditional Devon village on the Start Bay coastline with an intriguing history and unspoilt shingle beach. The village has a popular pub, post office/store, gift shop and cafes (all within easy walking distance). The market town of Kingsbridge is within a 15 minute drive whilst the beautiful sandy beaches of Salcombe and East Portlemouth are approximately 7 miles away.
VIEWS Superb, dual aspect views across the beach and out to sea from the first floor living accommodation.
ENTRANCE The cottage entrance leads in at ground floor level to a small hallway with room for coats and shoes and level access to the ground floor bedroom and shower room. Tulip hardwood stairs lead up to the first floor.
BEDROOMS The main bedroom has a double bed, bedside units, wardrobe, shelves and sea views. The smaller twin bedroom (on 1st floor adjacent to the kitchen area) has two small single beds, wardrobe, bedside unit and en suite cloakroom with w.c., basin and heated towel rail (the beds can be linked on request to create a King-size double). N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are supplied. Travel cot available.
LOUNGE/KITCHEN/DINING ROOM A light and sunny open-plan room on the first floor with large picture window and stunning views. The lounge area has a white leather corner sofa, flatscreen TV (with Freesat), CD/DVD player and iPod dock. The well equipped kitchen has a range of units, beech laminate worktop, four-ring gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. A washing machine and freezer is housed in an area under the stairs. Dining table with five chairs and child seat.
SHOWER ROOM On the ground floor with large shower cubicle, wash-hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE At the very front of the cottage is a small area for table and chairs. The owners have also supplied folding chairs that can be taken on the beach just yards away. The coastal path runs alongside the cottage with stunning walks to nearby Beesands, Hallsands and Start Point.
PARKING A pass is provided for one car in nearby parking bays (100 yards away) - loading and unloading is permitted outside the cottage and there are also limited open/free bays outside the adjacent development ('At The Beach').
OTHER INFORMATION Slate tiled flooring throughout the lower level with wood laminate on the first floor. Electric heating and instant hot water. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
