This ancient complex includes an old stone country house and a building which was originally a medieval fort dating back to the 11th century, and enjoys views over the landscape. The complex is located in a picturesque position in the Chianti Hills, in a charming natural environment which is famous around the world for its beauty.
This is the ideal location for a relaxing holiday and a good starting point for visiting Tuscany, especially the famous Chianti region, the cities of art including Florence, 45km, and Siena, 30km, and the southern part of the region with the renowned towns of Cortona, 40km, and Arezzo, 30km, which have ancient origins dating back to Etruscan times. From this area you can easily reach the nearby region of Umbria and Lake Trasimeno.
These two buildings have belonged to the same family for a very long time and are part of a 300-hectare farm. Over the years they have been restored with care and attention to detail, and turned into a charming holiday accommodation. The buildings are surrounded by extensive grounds where there are traces of ancient, medieval walls dating back to the 11th or 12th century, and are protected by the Authority of Belle Arti.
The property is now equipped with all present day comforts, including an outdoor swimming pool furnished with parasols, a wrought iron gazebo, sun loungers, deckchairs, a built-in barbecue and large sitting-out areas with garden furniture, ideal for a pleasant outdoor stay and outdoor dining.
One of the houses is from the 17th century and has a large entrance hall with a spacious living room on the ground floor, and is divided by arches into three rooms with access to the garden, a games room and a dining room, also with access to the outdoors. The other building, originally a convent enclosed by medieval walls, offers a large living room with fireplace along with a well-equipped kitchen where a party of 22 people can enjoy eating together.
Both houses have been carefully furnished with rustic furniture, combined with antiques, thus increasing the charm and special atmosphere.
