easy to find. Owner very helpful and nice. spacious rooms. beautifully decorated. Lovely log burner for the chilly evenings/days. The village has a small butcher, post office/general store. Couple of pubs... Fox and hounds and the Cross Keys plus Italian restaurant and coffee shop Locals all very friendly. Nearest supermarkets are in Hawick... we found Morrisons and Sainsbury. Lovely quiet village.

Stayed here for a week and could have stayed forever! The cottage has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a relaxing stress free time in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Located in the heart of the village a stones throw from the pubs and restaurant, the cottage provided us with a superb base to explore the area. Only 5 minutes from the convenience of supermarkets in Hawick yet far away enough to preserve that intimate friendly essence of village life. The cottage had a very comfortable living room with wood burning stove that was epically warm! Hard wood logs were provided (at reasonable cost) The kitchen was modern and filled with all manner of equipment. The small outside area was secure to let the dog have a moment of fresh air as required but the garden which was tucked down the bank was large and gave our lab a great space to chase his ball! It was also very secure! The bedrooms were comfy and the bathroom spotless. All in all a great stay we will be back!
