Bridge Farmhouse had the most comfortable bedding of any holiday cottage we've previously stayed in. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Being an old farm house it was well laid out for people arriving back with muddy shoes and wet clothes. A shed was available for cycles.

Bridge Farmhouse is an ideal place to stay with children, in a very quiet neighbourhood, with all kinds of things to visit nearby (Stonehenge, beautiful New Forest, Moors Valley). Everything one can possibly need is provided in the house, and the owners are very friendly and helped us around. This was one of our best holidays ever.

July 2010
We have had the best holiday we have had in years in this lovely cottage. It is spacious, well equipped and well cared for. It is so peaceful and we could have spent hours just sitting in the garden watching the birds and the pheasants in the next fields. Even washing up was a pleasure watching the squirrels through the kitchen window. There are a lot of woodland walks nearby and plenty of places to visit in the area, all within no more than a hours drive. Salisbury's park and ride was useful so that we did not have to negotiate the traffic in the city. The Heavy Horse Centre is a must as is the Otter and Owl Centre at Ashurst. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing holiday.
Mrs Edwards
December 2009

Bridge Farmhouse was in an ideal location for quick and easy access to either the New Forest or the coast. We enjoyed the peaceful, rural setting and the fact that the cottage was not at all overlooked. The cottage was comfortably furnished with good amenities for a family. We were very impressed with the overall cleanliness and presentation of the property, and would definitely consider a return visit!

The property was an excellent base as there was lots to do within a 45 minutes drive. Children were happy to stay In on rest days, loved the cows which sleep near the bottom of the garden. Owners brought In fresh flowers In the dining room.
Mrs Barker
September 2009
The location and surroundings were lovely as were the farmhouse owners. The Monmouth Arms local pub/restaurant was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended.
July 2015
We have just returned from a week's holiday here and would recommend it for its beautiful location right in the countryside surrounded by sheep and squirrels. We were fortunate to see a fox and a green woodpecker who was a frequent visitor to the garden. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped and spacious. The only downside was the lack of a shower but we managed with the bath - a shower would make life much easier though for those who have trouble getting in and out of a bath. Having said that we would definitely go there again.
Mr Laycock
July 2009
Great property and fantastic location. House was really clean and had everything you could ever need. Owners were really friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend.
April 2015
5 adults and a 3 year old stayed comfortably in this well equipped holiday home. A beautiful location with sheep and cows as neighbours on the working farm. A big garden space was greatly welcomed by our 3 year old. Very comfortable beds and peaceful nights sleep. The only downside was the VERY bumpy unmade lane to access the house. The shower proved difficult at times as it's not attached to the wall so was more of a hand held spray. All being said, it was a lovely place to stay and would definitely use this accommodation again.
September 2013
A lovely typical farmhouse in the English countryside. Enough space for a whole family and comfortable enough for us. We liked it very much just sitting on the rear terrasse watching sheep and sometimes trying to count them. Having seen pheasants and even a (living) badger nearby on the meadows. John the Farmer and his wife were very kind. The unmade road leading to the house had not been a problem for us. It had been very relaxing holidays! And we liked it very much! U. S. & R. H. from Hanover (Germany)
January 2014
We stayed at this property over New Year 2013/14. Although it rained heavily while we were there, this property was already very damp downstairs when we arrived, and especially in the sitting room. It absolutely stank of damp and should not have been let in that condition. It was not a satisfactory environment to accommodate two young children. We raised this subsequently with the owner and asked for a partial refund as compensation and this was refused point blank. The feedback in response was that no other previous holiday tenants had said that the property was damp. This completely misses the point. Whether or not anyone else has previously complained of damp is of course completely irrelevant. The only relevant point is that the property was very damp when we arrived and it should therefore not have been available to let in that condition.
January 2013
We loved this cottage and even though the weather was wet outside (Oct 2012), we still put on our boots and walked to see the horses, cows and tractors. The cottage has some damp patches on the walls but is so warm that our initial fears of there being a problem were quickly eased. The owner (who lives opposite) is friendly and helpful and we found many things to do locally - the best thing we visited was the Heavy Horse Farm - which surprised us as we are not horsey people! It was fun and very friendly and lots for the children (age 2,6 and 8) to do. Also the Moore Valley Park is a must - brilliant walks and activities to do on the walks. The cottage is so quiet (long drive down very unmade track) and the only noise we could hear at night was an owl or two hooting!
January 2012
This was the perfect place over Xmas - I cooked Xmas dinner for 8 people with ease - there were plentiful supplies of kitchen utensils, equipment and crockery as well as books and games for entertainment. There was even a Xmas tree with lights and decorations!!! Note well that towels are NOT provided (I missed this in the description of the property) and the shower is more aptly a dribble - having said that the bath was lovely and there was plenty of hot water. The beds were really comfortable and the feather duvets to die for. Owners next door in farmhouse were very obliging. I would definitely recommend this cottage.
May 2011
The location was beautiful. The surrounding areas bournemouth poole and the new forest very easy to get to. Spacious accomodation and caters for all ages. We took my father who has alzhiemers and he settled well. We loved it so much we have booked to go back later in the year.
September 2011
Nice well kept property in a very good location, in particular for children. Has lots of potential for short walks in the countryside around the house, and has relatively easy access to the Dorset coast and the New Forest. We would go back.
July 2010
Our stay here to celebrate our first anniversary was fantastic. The cottage and location were lovely and the owners were so accomodating with all our requests and really helpful. Thank you so much for making our day!
July 2010
A Spacious farmhouse with a large garden suitable for families and couples who want a peaceful retreat.
Mrs Smith
March 2016
The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The cottage gave us the peace and quiet that we needed. Would definitely book again.

July 2010
This is a lovely cottage, well equipped, clean and comfortable. It was so peaceful and we could have spent all day just sitting in the garden watching the birds and other wildlife. The accommodation was spacious and would be ideal for a family. With just the 2 of us it was more than enough but we do like our space. There are plenty of walks to be done and the shops are not too far away although you do need a car to get to them. Plenty of places to visit too in the area. All in all this was the best holiday we have ever had. We felt so comfortable in the cottage it was a shame we had to go home.
February 2010
The only negative point is that the access road is on an unmade pot holed track. The farm house was brilliant, homely, warm, spacious and an excellent place to get away from it all. With some lovely walking straight from the door
December 2009
Friendly owners who live across the lane. Gorgeous remote location despite having to drive through a housing estate to get to it! Had calves in the field next to ours which was great to look out onto every morning. Lovely sized bedrooms - shame curtains weren't a little darker for our children. Would have been good to have a bbq provided as the garden lends itself for outdoor cooking. Had to buy a disposable bbq which is never quite the same! Was quite a strong smell of floor polish throughout the downstairs.
