A gorgeous location and a very pretty and comfortable cottage. There was ample seating in the living room and at the dining table for all members of the party. We enjoyed using the wood burning stove to add to the comfortable atmosphere.

Excellent location and buildings. There was loads of space with generous sized rooms and the games room is a great addition. We loved the views from the garden and the bedrooms. We had two cottages booked which worked really well for a larger family group. I'm sure we'll be back in the future!

Superb location and facilities for our party of 8 people and being able to accommodate 2 well behaved Scottie dogs, really made our family meet up very enjoyable. Quiet and rural site with ample parking. Welcome pack in property was much appreciated. The cottage was very warm and roomy - everything was good. We would book again, we loved it!

November 2014
This is a beautiful house with outstanding accommodation, lots of equipment and lovely furnishings. We hired it jointly with Manifold Farmhouse to have a family celebration for my mother's 80th birthday and it was just perfect. It was especially convenient because the entrances to these two particular properties are next to each other and the same car parking area is shared. We all wished we could have stayed longer.

The cottage was in a group of other barn conversions and in a lovely, rural setting which was very quiet. The cottage had a really high standard of furnishings and equipment. It is very roomy, with plenty of room for nine adults. The manager, was very helpful and accommodating. It seemed as though everything was thought about to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

August 2013
The cottage was extremely spacious, beautifully appointed and comfortable, better than it appeared in the OPH. It was a good centre for visiting Derbyshire places of interest and we appreciated the tickets to Chatsworth. The milk, biscuits and cake which greeted us were welcome. We were extremely glad that we were allowed to bring 3 dogs and that there was space outside to throw a ball.

We felt at home almost immediately. We were celebrating my husband's 60th birthday with our immediate family who stayed in the cottage with us. There was plenty of space for us all and the day visitors who joined us for the birthday tea.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and holiday. Lovely welcoming cake! A great relaxing feel to the place - not one with lists of 'don'ts' - rather like Chatsworth itself in fact.

January 2013
We all loved the cottage, it was so cosy and beautifully presented and had all the facilities and equipment you could need. It was also set in a lovely location with great views from every aspect.
October 2013
Brocksopp is a beautifully appointed cottage set within stunning countryside. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and attention to detail exceptional. The town of Matlock with its many attractions is close by; also the Chatsworth estate which offers visitors a superb day out. What we particularly liked about our stay was that it enabled our whole family to gather together (we also rented Manifold Farmhouse)for a celebration and the venues appealed to all ages from 0 to 97. We have nothing negative to report!
January 2015
Excellent well equipped cosy cottage in Derbyshire.. Home made Mince Pies and biscuits on arrival a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend, and would go again.
Ms Regan
March 2016
We had a lovely couple of days and will almost certainly come back.
July 2013
Great sized cottage, all mod-cons. The home-made cake was a very welcoming gesture but not good for the figure! Would definitely go again.
November 2012
Brocksopp Cottage is a very well appointed cottage with all the amenities a family of 6 needs. In a lovely location and easy drive from many attractions the cottage provides a place to unwind and disconnect from work pressures. A welcome tray of biscuits, cake and tea was a lovely touch. The games room and outside space provide things for the children to do. Note that the tickets provided for Chatsworth do not include the children's play area. We stayed for 5 days and still had things on our to do list. We highly recommend this cottage
