Bron Aber description

Holiday home
Bron Aber is a lovely, detached ground floor cottage set in the village of Arthog in the Snowdonia National Park. With three bedrooms, including one double, one twin and one adult bunks room, this cottage can sleep six people. There's also a bathroom, a kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a woodburner and a fantastic feature window. Outside, there is off road parking for three cars, garage storage for bikes and canoes, along with a sloping lawned garden with a patio, garden furniture and a BBQ. Bron Aber sits in a fantastic, elevated position with stunning views across the Mawddach Estuary, is surrounded by the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, and is just a few miles from the coast. A perfect base in North Wales, with plenty of things to keep the whole family entertained nearby.

The hamlet of Arthog is situated on the lower reaches of the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, which runs from the renowned seaside town of Barmouth to the outskirts of delightful Dolgellau which nestles beside the foothills of one of Wales' most spectacular mountains, Cader Idris.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

A lovely, little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A superb location with beautiful views. A great base for touring the area. The friendly owners were next door if you had any problems and they gave great local information. We would definitely recommend this cottage and plan to return.

The property was outstanding with a great view from the lounge window across countryside and estuary to Barmouth. It is situated on a hillside and there is a slight climb but it's perfect. The owners live next door and they are a delight. Cannot wait to go back again.

A fantastic cottage with all the 'mod cons' including WiFi. Had amazing views from the back of the property. There are many lovely walks near the property, ( excellent cycle routes) with plenty to see do. We will definitely return!

A truly heavenly, beautiful place and cottage - peaceful, quiet and surrounded by nature. There was woodland all around, stunning views from the cottage of mountains and estuary, and breathtaking sunsets. The owners are 2 lovely people who made us feel so welcome, and their local knowledge was invaluable. A most wonderful, unforgettable holiday. An amazing base to explore from. We would love to visit again.

The bungalow was simply delightful, spacious and light. In addition we had a furnished patio area where we could eat or enjoy a drink together. The house is not visible from the road as it sits quite high in the hillside amid a huge garden filled with a large selection of mature trees and shrubs. It gave us hours of fun watching the antics of the various birds and squirrels moving around. Late in the evening, in the twilight, we were privileged to see an aerial display by a colony of bats.

There is only one word to describe this property and it is Brilliant. Everything was provided and the hospitality from the owner was second to none. I will definitely be returning and my grand children would have stayed if given the chance. I have already recommended your site and of course this accommodation.

A lovely cottage just up the hill in Arthog with views over the Mawddach estuary and quite close to an access point to the Mawddach trail. There is also a shed for bike storage that is very useful.

Excellent location for walks, close to lovely beaches and civilisation, plus variety of other attractions. Bron Aber was really comfortable, beautifully refurbished with great views of the Mawddach estuary and friendly and helpful owner.
March 2015
My husband and I, and another couple really enjoyed our stay, despite the weather being wet and windy at times. There was everything you needed for warmth and comfort. The woodburner was a boon for the evenings. Excellent wifi. The beds were comfy, with quality bedding, the kitchen with the aga well equipped. The views and general area was beautiful, with lovely walks along the Mawddach estuary, and the Cregennan Lakes not far.

Wonderful cottage with all the facilities you could need. Great kitchen, excellent Wi-Fi, TV & a log burner (but we didn't need it!). The cottage is very clean & the beds comfortable. Views from the back are stunning. There are many walks in the surrounding area, which is also great for cycling. The owner is very welcoming & left us cakes, biscuits & milk for our arrival - a very nice touch.

We had a fabulous time here and will be booking again next year. The owner was so helpful and friendly. We didn't want to come home, anyone who stays here will have a fabulous holiday. We were close to all the beaches and Barmouth town was great. If you have dogs, the towns are very dog friendly. All in all a great time was had by all.

Upon a late arrival we were greeted with a tray of home made cakes from our lovely host Meena (lives next door). Our first impressions were the fantastic views out of every window but especially the back of the property. All bedrooms were of a large size, which was great for three teenagers! Talking of the teenagers ... We were still lugging suitcases in whilst they had already tapped into the free wifi for their variety of electronic gadgets that they can't seem to live without. We are only the 2nd family to stay in this delightful property, but we were impressed with how we were treated and made to feel at home. We ventured out most days to Barmouth to the seaside, which the kids & our 7mth old puppy loved! So many plus point to this rental, didn't even feel I was in a bungalow. Lovely little stream running through the garden too! garden furniture & BBQ is set up for you, although didn't use. You would definitely need a car for this property as pub is a drive away along with nearest towns. This is going to be a very popular rental and I'm glad we stayed here in the beginning!
