Bryn Llan Family Cottage description

Holiday home
Bryn Llan is a detached bungalow located in the town of Bala. Sleeping six, this cottage has three bedrooms, two doubles (one en-suite) and a twin, as well as a family bathroom, kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with gas fire. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with gravel and a patio area, as well as off road parking for three cars. Situated close to the edge of the lake, Bryn Llan is a great family base.

Set within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, the market town of Bala is located at the head of the famous Llyn Tegid Lake, which is the largest natural lake in Wales. This body of water is renowned as the home to a unique fish called the Gwyniaid, a relic of the Ice Age. Now known as a centre for water sports, activities at Llyn Tegid include fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and white water rafting, whilst nearby Bala serves as the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway. The town itself is steeped in history and boasts a wide range of interesting shops and amenities, as well as a historical town walk. Surrounded by the wonderful Berwyn Mountains and the Snowdonia Mountain Range, this is a popular location for walkers, and for those looking to tour North and Mid Wales. The stunning Cambrian Bay Coast - with the six-mile long Harlech beach – is also within easy reach.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

This bungalow is well situated for exploring around Wales. The village has great facilities for shopping, both food and gifts, it has plenty of restaurants/takeaway to suit most people. The lake close by is well worth a walk to and also is the lake railway. Close by too is a leisure centre that has swimming and other sports activities worth looking into. we had a great time at a local pottery where we painted a variety of pottery and picked it up 2 days later. This holiday was very much a busy holiday for us but with the local surroundings people wanting a more relaxed holiday will be just as happy. We would definitely use this property again as it suits family up to 6 people comfortably.

My mother and myself were very impressed with the bungalow we hired for the week. It was literally around the corner from Bala lake which I could walk to. The owner also visited us (which was very nice) to ask us if we found everything O.K. I personally would not hesitate to go back there again in the future.

My mother and myself stayed in the bungalow which was absolutely lovely, and in a nice location. It was bigger than we expected and for my mother who is elderly it was nice for her not to have to climb stairs. The only down side for my mother was the location which was a bit too quiet for her, but for me being in the rat race most of my time I loved it and would happily book and stay their again. The owner of the bungalow came to visit us and caught us in on the third time which was nice and we had a long chat one morning before we went out. This was a really nice touch. The town of Bala was not much to write home about but it was acceptable. They only have local shops like a Co-op and if you want asda or Tesco's etc you have to travel further afield. Bala lake was literally round the corner from the bungalow which is lovely when wanting to go for a walk in the evening. I would not hesitate to recommend this bungalow to anyone.
