We and our dogs were made very welcome, it was nice to feel that the dogs were welcome visitors, not just tolerated.
The owners were on site to meet us and gave us a short but comprehensive guide around the cottage and the gardens and grounds, which we were given free access to.
Burrs Cottage proved to be the perfect holiday stay for us, handy for all the walking areas of the Peak District, the views from the cottage are exceptional, especially so from the bedroom window, waking to that was an absolute joy.
The cottage was very well equipped and lacked for nothing except perhaps a few cushions on the chairs.
There are some very good pubs and restaurants nearby, Fish and Chips and a late opening store in Tideswell(5 mins in car).
One note of caution, if you can't manage steep stairs this is not for you, we thought it contributed to the charm of the place, and we will definitely be visiting again
