Chapel Cottage Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
Chapel Cottage is in Hutton-le-Hole, near to the historic city of York. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, a bathroom, fitted kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. This cottage offers a lawned garden with furniture and BBQ. Situated in Hutton-le-Hole, Chapel Cottage is perfect for enjoying wonderful walks from your doorstep.

Area
Hutton-le-Hole is one of North Yorkshire's most popular villages. The first thing that may strike you about the village is the number of moorland sheep that wander through, hoping to pick up scraps from the many visitors that this beautiful hamlet attracts all summer long. A stream runs through the centre of the village, adding to its chocolate-box appeal and also offers opportunity for a paddle during the hot weather. Just outside Hutton-Le-Hole, you will find one of the most remote pubs in the country: The Lion Inn. Pickering Castle and the North Yorkshire Steam Railway are just a stone's throw away, as is the Ryedale Folk Museum – Yorkshire's leading open-air museum, which hosts a series of special days and events throughout the year.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

a lovely conversion retaining many original features but still providing a cosy, comfortable cottage with good quality, elegant furnishings and fittings. really comfortable settees and beds with everything you need to make a lovely holiday. pleasant garden in very pretty location and the Crown, literally five minutes from the cottage, is a fantastic public house, dog friendly, very welcoming and the food is excellent. dog walks from the front door makes this the perfect holiday home and really does 'tick all the boxes'.

Being just off the centre of the village the Chapel Cottage was perfect. The area was so quiet and peaceful but with plenty of interesting places to visit, especially the Ryedale Folk Museum. The fully enclosed garden was perfect as we have a dog. There were plenty of walks locally from the cottage and we will definitely return.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage is beautiful and very relaxing. We've stayed in many holiday cottages and this is definitely our favourite. A very warm welcome with little treats and an exceptionally clean cottage.

The cottage is a beautiful chapel conversion with elegant but extremely comfortable furnishings and decor in keeping with its former identity but nevertheless very cosy and homely. Its situation is perfect with dog walks on the doorstep and a dog friendly pub five minutes walk away serving superb food at reasonable prices and extremely welcoming staff. Sykes excelled again!

A wonderful location. The well-tended garden was very safe for our daughter and small puppy. Parking right outside the cottage was spot on. It was an interesting cottage to stay in, being a converted chapel. The log burner in the living room made for some lovely cosy evenings relaxing after busy days out and about in this lovely part of the world. We found Ryedale Folk Museum particularly fascinating, and enjoyable for all age groups.

This cottage is absolutely wonderful. It was cosy and very well located. Hutton le Hole is a great base for walking in the moors, and is such a quaint, pretty little village a world away from normal life! Will be visiting again!
