Shared outdoor heated swimming pool and multi-gymThe Morland Estate provides 21 bedrooms across four substantial properties (refs 28497, 28498, 28499 and 28500) which can be booked together or individually. The properties have been beautifully restored and furnished and are situated within 15 acres of ancient woods and parkland in the glorious rolling countryside of the Eden Valley in Cumbria. The stunning and tranquil setting is very magical and is an ideal venue for groups of friends and families gathering together to celebrate that important anniversary, birthday, celebration, reunion or get-together. The Hall and Coach House both have a civil license for weddings and it is a location simply made for New Year and Christmas gatherings. Self-catered or with outside catering (arranged direct with the owner), you can create a party that you and your friends and family will never forget.
These four beautifully presented holiday cottages have excellent facilities and comfort. Built in 1861, the main house fell into decline after the Second World War, but has now happily been restored to its former glory by the present owners, to provide a splendid large hall, along with two spacious and extremely comfortable holiday properties adjoining the main house, and, further up the drive, the large and elegant detached Coach House. Within close proximity of The Coach House, in an attractive sheltered area, is the shared outdoor heated swimming pool and an adjacent gym. With very good access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, Morland Hall Estate makes for an excellent holiday destination.
Just 8 miles away lies the attractive market town of Appleby, once the county town of Westmorland, and renowned for its famous Horse Fair held in June of each year since 1750. Passing through the town, the Settle to Carlisle railway offers visitors the chance to relax and enjoy wonderful scenery as it runs over the famous 24-arched Ribblehead Viaduct before descending two hundred feet in five miles. Slightly further to the north of Appleby, the traditional, bustling market town of Penrith, gateway to Ullswater, can be found. Whether your interests be walking, climbing, fishing, golf, nature, history, art, literature or just relaxing and touring the pretty sandstone villages of Eden and the spectacular and contrasting scenery of the Lakes and Dales, you will find plenty to do and see.
