Lovely welcoming cottage full of character, superbly situated for touring the Cairngorms National Park and further North. Loved the numerous woodland walks straight from the doorstep, and the abundance of wildlife. Although the property is situated in the village, it feels very secluded and private. The cottage was reasonably well equipped and immaculately clean. The enormous bed in the master bedroom was amazingly comfortable, and we slept like logs after a good days walking in the Cairngorms. There are numerous stunning walks within a five mile radius, gorgeous scenery, absolute peace, loads of atmosphere.

A lovely cottage in a really beautiful setting. A quiet rural location which was perfect. Great for a big family get together. Good outdoor space with table and chairs for al fresco dining. For the price this property was excellent value and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend. Communication with Sykes cottages and the keyholder were excellent.

A great location and a good house to share with family. There was plenty of room. The kids loved the garden and they could go straight out of the gate into the forest. Overall a great house and I would definitely come back again. The whole area is beautiful. Scotland at it's best.

The cottage was in a wonderful, remote setting with deer in the garden. Ample space for the two of us. Very clean inside with plenty of fixtures e.g. towels, games, crockery, etc.

just returned home today from Coille Ghlas and im already thinking about next year! great big house lots of character a few draughts that only added to the charm of the house. my two golden retrievers had a great time in the huge garden however there was some dog mess left by previous guests so come on dog owners lift your dog poo. The house is in an exelent location for walking with forest on doorstep and garden though huge is fully enclosed so very child and pet friendly

This cottage was fantastic. The space and amenities within the cottage were ample and parking great too. It was very clean also. The cottage is located in a very quiet area but close enough to the village shop and pub. The cottage is surrounded by woods and the local roe deer herd frequent the garden most evenings. The bird life is also in abundance. Only critisms would be that outdoor furniture was nonexistent (apart from a broken bench) and it would have been nice to spend more time outside had there been any and the fact that one DVD player did not work and should have been checked before guests arrived.

We chose the cottage based on its proximity to Avimore, as we were doing a winter climbing course there. The house is ideally located in the Cairngorm national park and is best suited for people looking for a remote place to stay with beautiful scenery. Don't let the remoteness put you off as the house has full amenities (central heating plus two log fires, modern kitchen and modern bathroom facilities), and with Aviemore down the road plenty of places to get supplies. The house itself is full of character with big stone walls and period wooden furniture. Just outside the back of the house is a large woodland area with long walks (careful to follow the path as we got a little lost on the first day there). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and intend to go back as soon as possible, definitely recommended. p.s. only thing that was a slight drawback was the shower water pressure, not particularly powerful considering it was a Mira power shower.

Stayed with my partner and his two brothers. Well decorated and furnished large house close to the centre of Nethy Bridge (short walk) with two living rooms and a wood fire in each. Kept the house warm and cosy during our stay, and went great with food and small amount of whisky. Everything you could need in the kitchen along with comfortable bedding & towels. Great location close to Cairngorm, Aviemore and other great scenery and attractions. I loved visiting the Reindeer, Glenmore Forest and Loch Ness. Also great views of the forest behind from the windows, and is for amenities is a Spar shop and Nethy Bridge Hotel for drinks/food close by. Would recommend anytime of year and will come back.

Everyone we spoke to from booking the holiday to picking up the keys were very helpful and friendly. We will be booking another weekend very soon.

We loved the homeliness and traditional nature of this beautiful property, as well as the seclusion and wooded outlook. Great child friendly features and child safety, resident comfort and local information. Fire starter pack and ample home effects, utensils, linens, etc.
