Quiet, peaceful location. Ideal base to tour the area. Neat, enclosed rear garden. Clean, welcoming and plenty of room. Overall impression of the property was fantastic.

The cottage had a really cosy feel about it. Although a small cottage, it was surprisingly spacious; we loved the flagstone floor and the period features. The enclosed garden was great too, for the dog. The cottage had everything that we needed - it was really well equipped. We loved the setting - in the middle of nowhere, but also within easy access of the coast. We also loved the Shave Cross Inn nearby.

The kitchen was better equipped than ours! We found the house so warm, we did not need any heating, in October. Apart from the occasional tractor it was so peaceful. If we want a cottage again in Dorset this is it. Access to the coast was very easy and quick.

It was such a quiet, tranquil retreat away from the business of life and work. The cottage is adorable, cosy and comfortable. It's placed in a most beautiful part of the country and within easy travelling distance to the coast. One can't help but relax.

We had a wonderful week at the cottage with extended family, the cottage was big enough for us all to eat/sit/cook and we enjoyed it very much. We loved the fact that we had a good week weather wise and were on the beach and swimming in May!

It was lovely to come home to a quiet cottage in the evening and the property made it feel like home. Conveniently positioned with Bridport only a 10 minute drive away. The Shave Cross Inn was only a 5 minute walk up the lane and the people were very friendly.

Excellent, comfortable house well-equipped and a great base for exploring - even if you're only walking five minutes up the lane to the pub for a curry and a pint!

A lovely, surprisingly spacious, small cottage with period features and a nice, cosy feel about it. It had everything we needed. Despite being 'in the middle of nowhere' (which we wanted) there was a lovely old pub within easy walking distance up the road and it was within easy distance to the south coast.

The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and in a lovely rural spot. The owners were also very helpful and provided us with a turkey from their farm. The location is excellent especially if you have a dog as there are a number of country walks close by as well as the Shave Cross Inn which is about a half mile away at the end of the lane. The pub was recently mentioned in the one of the Sunday papers as one of the best country pubs and worth a visit and it was! There were a few minor drawbacks, the log burner was often difficult to get going and if you have more than one car then others have to park on the narrow lane, however this did not impact too greatly on our stay. We would recommend this cottage to anyone, especially at christmas.

Lovely, had everything you could possibly want bar internet connection. However that aside it meant we spent more time enjoying ourselves rather than wondering what the rest of the world was doing. Lovely scenery lovely places and lovely peace and quiet.

Crabbs Bluntshay Cottage booking was so easy to do & the owners were very helpful with directions when contacted, the cottage itself was a fantastic base for our holiday & quite a few nights were spent in the Shave Cross Inn 10mins walk up the lane. Everywhere we visited was less than 1 hours drive from the cottage, we even made it to stonehenge for summer solstice for the experience. There was nothing not to like about this property.

This cottage was home away from home, everything we could possibly need was there. It was comfortable and clean. The roads to and from the cottage were narrow country lanes and you need to take care while driving but just a few miles up the road you have all you can need shop wise. Would really recommend for a family holiday especially if you want to take your dog, although there are not many places you can walk them close to the cottage.

The cottage was well equiped, spacious and would fit 4 people easily. You need to drive carefully around the lanes leading to the cottage, the locals tend to drive faster than the visitors, tractors and even a herd of cows on one day were encountered! The area itself was good for relaxing, views of fields is ideal, Bridport is local and has everything you need, the beaches are ideally for walking the dog. Around the cottage the walks for dogs are minimal unless you have a very well behaved one, as the footpaths go through fields of cows. Overall very relaxing time.
