We stayed at Cricketer's Cottage with 6 adults (family 2 parents, son with daughter in law and daughter with son in law) and we really loved it!
The cottage is large enough for everyone to have some space and privacy but it still very cosy. We loved the different sitting rooms, one in the old part of the house with a fireplace was our favorite, sitting together in the evenings at the fireplace with a glass of whisky. And making plans for the next day. The house also has a really beautiful garden! Even thought the weather was bad we enjoyed the view from the sitting room with the big glass doors looking at the rabbits and ducks in the garden.
Some people leave comments about the height, there are some wooden beams in the old part of the house which are very low, and yes the guys in our family bumped their heads but still, you should just be aware of it, the wooden beams give the house character and it shouldn't be a reason not to book this cottage.
There are a few things the owner should do to make this Cottage truly perfect: it wasn't really clean, dust under the beds and dog hairs on a carpet in a bedroom, a pet friendly cottage doesn't mean you have to sleep next to the doghairs of previous visitors.
And the kitchen knifes can use an update.
But overall we had a great stay, it felt cosy, very warm and homely. The views are great, go for a walk in the area! Would go back if I could!
