September 2014
The peaceful location and being able to do what we wanted, when we wanted to do it. The property was of a high standard and well-serviced - we would recommend it for either a quiet holiday or as a central base for exploring the surrounding area.
Mrs Sansom
July 2014
The cottage was just as described and a lovely home from home.

December 2013
The accommodation was really comfortable and homely. It is located about a 10-15 minute drive outside Caernarfon with views of the sea. The directions provided were spot -on and we did not have any trouble finding the accommodation, even in the dark. The living accommodation was spotless and well equipped. Would recommend and stay again.

The cottage was very warm and pleasant to spend time in. The area has much to offer to the tourist; National Trust properties, walks and small towns to visit.

A lovely little place in a very remote spot but within easy reach of the shops and facilities. The kitchen and dining area were fantastic and very clean. Waking up to the sound of sheep bleating and birds singing in the fields around the cottage was something I found very appealing.
Mr Skinner

The cottage was lovely.

July 2012
The setting was beautiful and you could see mountains and the sea from the property. We loved being by the sheep and watching them be sheared, and we waved to and saw the farmers often. Great access onto roads and to supermarkets. The facilities were generally very good and there was plenty of space in Damavand. We had a very peaceful sleep in a comfortable bed, and the dishwasher was a bonus luxury considering the great price for a week during the summer. Excellent overall value, a great base for a holiday.

Nice break in the middle of nowhere. Exactly what we were looking for, a cottage with modern furnishing. Good walk up Snowdon.

December 2011
Damavand was a great place for a break! The apartment was very modern with everything we needed. It was far enough into the countryside to be away from everything and peaceful yet only ten minutes or so drive to the shops if needed. We had a great time!

On arrival at the property, we were greeted by the owners father, who was on hand to ensure that we could gain access to the property and answer any questions that we had. On entering the property we were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the accommodation and the interior and fittings. The property was also very child friendly and we would definitely consider stopping here again and recommending to friends.

Fantastic furnishings, very up to date inside the property. Fantastic views of the surrounding rural countryside and our children were very happy to be guided in by a sheep whom they named Dino the Tour Guide! Only 4 miles from Caernarfon, small local shop within walking distance. Fantastic holiday and will look forward to coming to Damavand again!

November 2010
It was in a remote area but close enough to Caernarfon. A beautiful area with stunning views. It is the first time that we have used Sykes and we hope to use them again.
August 2011
Damavand was bigger than expected and in a really peaceful situation. There were some spectacular sunsets to watch over the sea. You could not hear a sound at night and it was the best sleep I have had in years! It's very close to Anglesey which was the area we most wanted to explore.
Mr Armstrong

It was an amazing location and property. It exceeded all expectations. It was in a very remote area with amazing views of mountains and the coast, yet it was a short journey into civilisation and other amazing places to visit.

I felt that the property was well equipped and well thought out. There wasn't anything missing from the property and everything we needed was already there.

October 2016
Property needs updating and smartening up. Unmarked trip hazard in the form of a hump across width of main room, disguised to look like normal flooring. Not good if you are unsteady on your feet. No bedding for bed settee and the matress was damp and smelly. Grass - could not call it a lawn - was noisily strimmed while we were there, even though there was ample opportunity while we were out. No wine for us, just a cheap pack of biscuits. Still waiting for the agent, Sykes, to comment. We got the impression that this property is just a money maker and the owner does not wish to invest to keep it up to scratch. Not worth what we paid for it.

August 2006

December 2012
great cottage with lovely views , day and night with the light all around the bay. easy reach to lots of places .the cottage is well equiped fantastic big bed and the owners are very friendly and helpful. all in all a great winter bteak.
June 2016
Stayed here for a week in the middle of june as a family of four with two young children (2yr old and a 7 month old) The cottage itself was comfortable enough with a good size living area and fully equiped kitchen with a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, range cooker. The only bedroom was a good size and we easily had enough space for our travel cot. The location was very pretty. We could see the sea and mountains in the distance and we were surrounded by lots and lots of sheep. The location is great for exploring north wales and there is a big supermarket about a 15 minute drive away. Now for the negatives. The cottage wasnt very clean. The rug on the living room floor was manky to say the least, there was dust and bits of food on the floor from the previous occupant, the toilet had a very strong smell of urine and there was a musty smell in the bedroom. The cottage was pooy maintained. There walls by the front door were filthy, the grounds around the cottage were poorly maintained and on two seperate occasions while out walking with our two young kids we found dead sheep. After telling the land owner about the sheep all he done was hid them in bushes but we could still see them and smell them. Not exactly what you want your two year old to see. The owner clearly doesnt care about this property which is a shame because with a good clean and a bit of looking after this would be a lovely cottage.

This property could not have exceeded our expectations more. It was very clean and had every detail covered, welcoming bottle of wine being the icing on the cake. We wanted a relaxing away from everything holiday and had just that. Lots of places close by yet complete serenity when at the cottage. I would recommend this to anyone and would definately go back or try their properties in the lakes as I know we would not be disappointed.
September 2012
Very comfortable stay with good facilities for example the dishwasher was a bonus considering the good value for a week in the summer months. Plenty of space insi and in a very pretty area with lovely views. Easy access back onto main roads with supermarket close by and convenient for tourist attractions. The rough track to the cottage was certainly 'rough' for low profile tyres so be aware of that.Loved being surrounded by the sheep and got to see them being sheared and friendly local farmer and local people. Tv and mobile reception fine too, amazingly for Wales.
