We absolutely adored this beautiful cottage. Everything was truly perfect, with lots of little touches. We were bowled over by the beauty of the place and the warm welcome and friendly conversations I had with the owner were also a welcome delight. Oh, and our doggies loved it too!

Delfod Cottage was a lovely place to stay and was very comfortable. It was a great base to venture out from. The home made Welsh cakes were a lovely welcome gift.

This is a great little cottage in an excellent location, a short drive from the centre of Harlech, with views of Snowdon in the distance from the terraced garden.

The cottage was wonderful, it had everything we needed - outdoor space, amazing views, well equipped kitchen, good location and a comfy bed! We couldn't ask for more. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to go back again.

The cottage appears newly renovated, everything was in tiptop condition. The Super king size bed was very comfortable and the cottage was warm and inviting. The main street in Harlech started about 300 yards from the front door. The road outside the cottage was quite quiet, and the dedicated parking space just across the road was very handy.

Absolutely fantastic cottage. Cosy and very warm and welcoming! Massive bed to get lost in and a lovely size bathroom! Easy to clean as hard floor throughout and parking was excellent too. Sitting areas to the rear to of property should be lush in the summer. Spectacular views of Snowdon, must be amazing in the summer too.

We got married last year in Wales and spent our honeymoon in this lovely cottage, this year we celebrated our 1st Anniversary here too. We love it here and we find Harlech very chilled out and relaxing and the beach is amazing.

Lovely property, perfect for 2 people and a dog and within easy walking distance of Harlech. Amazing walks on the doorstep either into the hills behind the town or along the coast. The cottage is extremely well heated and cosy, would recommend to anyone.

Delfod cottage is set in an ideal location for exploring this part of North Wales. A short walk to the town of Harlech itself and a pleasant walk down to the beach. Views from the garden were stunning, with a glimpse of Portmeirion in the distance. The wood-burning stove, though not needed for its heat (as the cottage was beautifully warm), was a welcome addition. Parking was excellent and overall we were delighted by the cottage. We had a lovely holiday in Delfod and we will certainly recommend it and hopefully return in the future.

Found the cottage to be located in a wonderful area ideal for staying in, or going out and finding other wonderful locations, such as slate mines and Snowdon area, and lovely long sandy beach in Harlech. Have recommended the cottage to friends and family, and will book the cottage again.

Loved the cottage, clean modern but still kept the cottagey feel. Loved the sky garden above the cottage with fantastic views. We spent time up there most days, it was only heavy rain that kept us away from it.
Mr Mitchell
August 2013
The cottage was lovely particularly the fact that the owners had listened to all the comments that people had left. It was lovely and clean and the garden was lovely too. Being so close to the village, and easy travel to Snowden, and the surrounding area made it a brilliant base.
Mr Stonehouse

Lovely Cottage, well situated close to Harlech Village and the beach. Would recommend as a comfortable romantic retreat all year round.

November 2012
We particularly enjoyed the views from the cottage, the Snowdonia mountain range, and we were within easy driving distance to the beautiful beaches at Harlech, Llandanwg and Barmouth. It was also great to be able to walk into Harlech village centre. It was an excellent location for travelling to visit Llanberis, the base town for Snowdon.
Mr Allen

The cottage provided the relaxation we needed. Harlech had some very nice restaurants, friendly locals, and it was an excellent base for various tourist/wildlife attractions in the area.

We toured around in that area and the cottage was ideal for our purpose and being able to park directly opposite the front door was very good. I would recommend this cottage, we were very satisfied with its' location.

A delightful 1-bed cottage only a few minutes' gentle stroll into Harlech centre. Facilities are excellent and the cottage has clearly had a very recent and sympathetic makeover. The kitchen is as light and airy as the lounge is cosy. The only two very minor drawbacks are the lack of a 2nd door (or maybe just a heavy curtain) at the front door which generates a small cold spot; and the house fronts directly onto the main road into town (but traffic is occasional, not continuous - at this time of year at any rate!). I would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at Delfod Cottage, the weather was sunny and warm for September, so sitting in the garden sipping wine and looking at the lovely views of Snowden and Portmerion was a bonus. The cottage has everything you need and is warm and cosy, it is situated in an ideal position to visit the nearby beaches, towns and of course Snowdonia. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

This cottage was everything we hoped for. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, stylish shower room/loo, and a bedroom with the largest and most comfortable bed in the world! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn't get a chance to try out the wood-burning stove as the temperature hardly dipped below 20C even at night. The garden rises up the steep hillside behind the cottage - it's on levels accessed by flights of steps - the views get better the high you go, but it's not for the infirm. Ample parking across the road. For those to whom it matters (and it shouldn't really as you're on holiday), mobile signal (on O2 at least) is limited. The selection of Freeview channels in this part of Wales is also restricted but there is always the DVD player as an alternative - or you can go to the pub. Harlech town centre is about a 10 minute walk away and is a delightful place. Do go into the Tourist Information Office. They can suggest lots of things to do and help you make the most of your visit.

We got married on the Monday in Wales and this was a lovely little place to honeymoon . The local people were friendly and the Lion Hotel put on free food and drink for us when we went in after we got married, we felt honoured to be treated like a part of the community. We will be going back next year to celebrate our 1st anniversary. The gardens are quirky and private and the wildlife lovely, the beach is fantastic , in fact Harlech is gorgeous .... One last thing your find it hard to get up in the mornings because the bed is so comfy we slept like babies....

We stayed here out of season for a relaxing week - it was perfect. The cottage is a gem; whilst retaining all its charm it benefits from being fully refurbished and as a fabulous bathroom, modern kitchen, spacious lounge with log burner (keep the air flue open!!), and lovely bedroom with king size bed from which you can see the sea in the distance . Bliss. The bonus was that we were allowed to take out golden retriever, Molly who was welcomed in many local hostelries and caves! Brilliant We loved the area and spent many happy hours walking on the deserted beaches. Portmeirion was beautiful, and the coastal towns a joy to visit. The town of Harlech was a few minutes walk up the lane and we ate in the village three times. All very casual, but a lovely chill down break.

wonderful cottage exceeds expectation's and is in a lovely location, the view over the bay and Snowdon range are excellent and the higher you go in the tiered garden the get better they get, the middle garden has a BBQ area and you can enjoy the views while dinning in the sun, Harlech was joy to explore, there was plenty of information on different areas of interest for all to visit, we would highly recommend this cottage and we will be booking it again.

This is a lovely cottage. It was well presented with a cosy living room and well appointed kitchen. The bathroom was great and the bed was really comfy with lovely views of the valley. We were really pleased we had booked it , it made our holiday. It was a few minutes walk from Harlech ..very friendly people and delicious ice cream place. Also close to Portmeiron and the Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway , both well worth a visit. We were also really lucky with the weather- baking hot for a few days ...but then back to rain! Still wouldn't be as green without the rain!
