We found the location of the property absolutely beautiful. We were surrounded by stunning countryside and overlooking a lake - a walker's paradise. And having access to the lane way and land behind the property was excellent for walking our dogs. We particularly enjoyed the nearby beach of Derrynane - the water was so clear for swimming and snorkeling and there are lots of rock pools for the children to explore.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting, overlooking Lough Derriana. A well and tastefully-appointed cottage, with everything we needed and more. The surrounding area is beautiful and lovely for walking. We received a welcoming and friendly reception from the caretakers. We have already recommended this cottage to friends.

A very comfortable stay in a lovely house in a beautiful location. The caretaker who looks after the house explained everything and we had a great time.

We felt very well received, there was a very friendly and relaxed service by the housekeeper. The house is really beautiful and very beautifully decorated and painted. It feels very healthy there, we all slept excepionally well in the house. great were the fireplaces! It does lie kind of remote from Waterville so it's good for people who like the peace and quiet. No complaints, on the contrary! Great place for friendly people who want to relax and read and hike.

My father, son and I spent a week at Derriana Lodge. In this beautiful house there is everything anyone could need to enjoy a fabulous holiday. The house is spacious and at the same time cosy. It is set back from a quiet country lane in it's own grounds so tranquility abounds and the view from the top of the garden is outstanding. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty and the locals are very friendly and welcoming. We had a close encounter with a fish eagle looking for his tea at the lake. I am looking forward to our next booking with Hogans who were most helpful . A special mention of thanks to Zoe who looks after the house and was happy to help with tips and suggestions of interesting local places to visit especially the trip to see the Skelligs!!.
