A beautiful place to stay with a lovely large safe garden for dogs. It was very tranquil with nice owners and it is ideal for anyone who wants to get away from it all.

We come away for relaxing break and we definitely got that. The walled garden was great, with us having two dogs. Dovecote Cottage was equipped with everything you would need , we were very happy and would return.

This was a beautiful clean cottage in a secluded private area, there was plenty of room to park and everything was to hand that you could possibly need. The owners were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return again.

The property was very comfortable warm and like home from home. A lovely enclosed rear garden which was particularly good for the dogs. The property is situated in a beautiful and peaceful location where the only noise was from the wildlife.

A lovely cottage in an amazing location. The walled garden and the grounds are beautiful. The cottage is comfortable and welcoming and the owners friendly and approachable. A great base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire coast and countryside. I have limited mobility and was able to get around easily. We wanted to explore the Hornsea Railway Trail as I have an adapted trike but couldn't work out how to actually get access to the trail. However, when we mentioned it we were immediately provided with a detailed map and directions. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

This is a very peaceful setting with loads of space around the property. This is ideal for dog owners with a walled rear garden and adjacent fields to explore. This is a very tastefully modernised rural property with at least 4 pubs that serve food within 5 miles.

The location and surroundings of Dovecote Cottage were so quiet, peaceful and picture perfect. From the moment we arrived, we slipped into that relaxed feeling that sometimes takes a few days to fully achieve on any holiday, but not at Dovecote Cottage, that lovely relaxed holiday feeling was instant. It was the perfect get away from it all location in the most beautiful, back to nature, countryside surroundings. I felt like a character in the old fashioned TV programme, The Darling Buds of May! It was so peaceful and pretty, the only sounds we heard were the wonderful array of birds visiting the garden each day - simply lovely!

Quiet, good grounds for kids or dogs. Pony in paddock next door. Good warm cottage even in poor weather in a private area in converted outbuildings. Only minor thing is that it could be better signposted.

We stayed here last year and really enjoyed it so we thought we would come again when the days were longer. It didn't disappoint us as once again everything was clean and comfortable and we particularly love the enclosed garden which our dog enjoys as well. It is such a quiet area and being close to the coast you have the best of both worlds. The owners are always welcoming.

Lovely cottage in superb surroundings. Dovecote Cottage was a delightful short break for all the family, with all the comforts required for a tranquil relaxed break. The location is close enough to the coast to visit, but also distant enough to believe that you are in the deepest Yorkshire countryside.

The cottage is lovely - cosy ,warm and well equiped. The walled garden was agreat asset with a dog and being able to walk the farm field was a plus!! Well equiped and comfy. The setting on the farm is peaceful and very quiet. Nearby vilages were interesting to visit, close to shops and the sea. Highly recommended.Very friendly and approachable owners. Will be going again.

My husband and i plus our labrador stayed for a week last October. The cottage plus surrounding countryside was very peaceful just the place for a quiet holiday.Their is a walled garden so our dog enjoyed her freedom as much as us. The owners were very helpful and did not interfere with our holiday at all.The cottage was situated in a lovely secluded spot and furnished immaculately, you could not wish for better. There are many friendly Yorkshire pubs close by and villages nearby.M.J.Veal

We received a warm welcome from the owners who showed us round the property and told us about the surrounding area. The cottage was lovely, very clean and comfortable with a lovely walled garden. The area is very peaceful and relaxing and Hornsea and the whole coastline was very pretty. Our dog Ben (a black labrador) loved the beaches and having a swim in the sea and its a very dog friendly area. I was glad I took my nightlights as even though the owner had provided one it is very dark there in the autumn/Winter evenings. We also had some lovely meals out in Whitby and Scarbourough which are not very far away.
