Driftwood description

Holiday home
Driftwood makes a great family holiday base, perched on a cliff-top in Kessingland in Suffolk. There is a double with en-suite shower room, a further double and a room with bunk beds, and a family bathroom. The living area is open plan, with a fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area, all enjoying some wonderful sea views. Outside, guests have use of communal lawned areas, and there is off road parking for 2 cars. The beach is down the cliff-side steps, offering stretches of golden sand for family games and sunbathing.

Kessingland is a village in Suffolk, with a sandy beach and a selection of shops, pubs and tearooms. Kessingland is between Lowestoft and Southwold, and is a great base for enjoying Suffolk's coastline.

Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways - East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

This cottage is a lovely peaceful place to stay. The walks we had along the beach with the dogs every day was fabulous. The actual cottage was lovely, clean and cosy and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I will definitely be coming back. The quiet, peacefulness and open beaches left me totally refreshed and relaxed, it was exactly what I needed!

Driftwood was a home from home. The views from the front window were great. Could not fault it.

We had a lovely time and it was made all the better by the finishing touches left by the owner.

Driftwood was a spacious, light, modern property which was very nicely presented and in the best position on a peaceful holiday home complex, looking straight out to sea. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 cars. All in all a very enjoyable holiday.

This little cottage is a gem. Fabulous views, it was lovely peaceful, and beautifully decorated kitted out. We took our elderly parents and they loved it, particularly useful having an ensuite bathroom for them. We will be back!

Photos cannot do justice to this lovely bungalow; it was thoughtfully equipped, clean and comfortable and with stunning views of the coast. The site is calm and peaceful - ideal for a relaxing holiday with the most wonderful views and the sound of the sea and the gulls swooping overhead. Watching the baby rabbits playing in the sunshine on the cliff top.

We liked it because it was a very peaceful place, also having the key to the gate to take the dog down to the beach, it is a lovely place to stay. We also stayed here in July of this year.

Our first impressions of the cottage were very favourable. The decor was somewhat artistic and very tastefully done. The children loved it from the outset, my wife and I fell in love with the place too. We were surprised at the space inside and could see that the furnishings were of good quality. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. A superb property in a beautiful location!

The property has lots of pluses. The living accommodation is of a good size and overlooks the communal grounds and beyond this, the sea. The two main bedrooms are also a good size (although no wardrobe in the master bedroom). The bunk bed room is fit for purpose. The property is tastefully decorated and in a good state of repair. The kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery. A good sized freezer is also available. The property was also very clean throughout. In my opinion there are two downsides to the property. The first is the size of the kitchen. It is very compact and very difficult to fit more than one person in it at a time. The second downside is that the property is heated by portable electric oil heaters (and on-the-wall fan heaters in the ensuite and family bathroom). This is stated in the property details, but beware that you could be incurring electricity costs of circa fifty pounds if staying in a cold week. Overall I would recommend this property to friends, but would make them aware of potential additional costs.

We appreciated that this property of very high standard was available to us whilst having a dog.

The property was in a very nice position - on top of the cliffs overlooking the sea. As the property has a large picture window in the living room and patio doors across the entrance porch this was excellent for chillier days when it was possible to sit inside but still see the sea. Also the it was well situated being just a few miles outside of Lowestoft so a peaceful location but with the benefit of a larger town with all of it amenities a few miles away.
July 2012
Location excellent. Property very clean. A bit late asking about this as we went in april and have been with yourselves to Yorkshire since then. I suggest if you want a review doing it may be better when you just return home not months after.
September 2012
Excellent facility and the interiors are very nicely done up. The view is stunning. We look forward to coming back once again.
