Eagle Rise Lodge was a beautiful place to stay. It's situated in a wonderfully peaceful location with superb views of the countryside. Everything you need has been thought of and supplied. The furniture is of a very good quality and the sofa and beds very comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone. We would love to come back.

A beautiful Lodge and a fabulous location, it was quiet and relaxing. The standard of accommodation was without doubt the best we've stopped in through Sykes.

Eagle Rise Lodge is wonderful in every way! The interior is even bigger and fancier than the pictures--and the view is to die for! Fabulous.Look forward to coming again!!

The accommodation is excellent in all respects apart from one very serious shortcoming. The property lends itself to outside dining etc. given it's glorious country views but on every occasion we ventured outside we were driven back inside by the awful smell of the drains. The smell was also prevalent in the en suite bathroom and the cupboard under the kitchen sink making us feel quite nauseous. We contacted the owner rather than Sykes because that is what the instruction on the wall told us to do if there was a problem. Unbelievably he told us he was aware of the problem but could do little about it because the septic tank was on someone else's property. Even though the smell was known to him he was obviously still taking bookings ! We complained to Sykes on our return from holiday but found their attitude very poor and the were clearly 'batting on the wicket' of the owner and not the person who had his holiday ruined.

The accommodation was ideal for a family in a great location. We appreciated the hospitality of the owners and welcomed the bread and milk left for our arrival.

A fabulous place, very peaceful and only about a mile to the nearest pub if you fancy a night out. We were able to walk from the property and it wasn't too far to visit Wenlock Edge, Long Mynd, Church Stretton and Ludlow. Would highly recommend it.
