Estuary View description

Providing comfortable accommodation, this ground floor apartment, attached to the owner’s home, enjoys stunning far-reaching views to the Fal Estuary and Penryn River. Perfect for couples or families, this delightful property makes an ideal base from which to explore the area at any time of the year. Conveniently located on the outskirts of Penryn, it lies just a short drive from Falmouth, a busy town with a port and glorious beaches. It also hosts high profile events including the Spring Festival, Sea Shanty Festival, Falmouth Week, Oyster Festival and many sailing and maritime events. The National Maritime Museum is located in Events Square and overlooks the prestigious marina and harbour.
Take the "Park and Float", a water taxi or small ferry from Penryn to nearby St Mawes, Flushing or the scenic River Helford and creeks. Pendennis Castle stands proud on the headland overlooking its twin, St Mawes Castle, on the opposite side of the estuary, both built during the reign of Henry VIII to oversee the important waterways of the Fal Estuary. The port is the third deepest harbour in the world and sees many large visiting ships, including some of the world’s most prestigious cruise liners and private yachts.

The area has some of Cornwall’s best beaches and popular beach cafés, an ideal way to relax for breakfast, dinner or that late evening al fresco glass of wine or hot chocolate. Explore the rugged north coast including St Ives, Newquay, Gwithian and the surfing beaches at Porthtowan. There’s some stunning scenery and coves on the Lizard Peninsula and Lizard Point, the UKs most southerly point. Golf, walking, sailing, cycling and many water sports including scuba diving, surfing and wind surfing are all available close by, or relax on one of the award-winning beaches. The town has a vibrant yet relaxing feel with a wide choice of restaurants, tea rooms, delicatessens, shops, cinema, bowling, art and craft galleries, and many wonderful local pubs serving great local food and ales.
