Fairway description

Holiday home
Fairway is a semi detached house occupying an elevated position overlooking the Conwy estuary, and offering spectacular of Conwy and Deganwy marinas, Conwy Castle, and the Snowdonia mountain range. The cottage sleeps seven people in three bedrooms (one double, one twin and one with bunk beds) and also contains a family bathroom. The cottage also boasts a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with views of the marina and castle. Outside this cottage is a front paved area with garden furniture and a BBQ. Being so well located on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park as well as just a short stroll from the sea, Fairway is a wonderful cottage for anyone wishing to explore all of the delights of North Wales.

The village of Deganwy sits on the banks of the river Conwy at the mouth of the Estuary and is a very popular holiday destination. Deganwy has a harbour, a small selection of shops and pubs, and retains the ruins of Deganwy Castle, built in 1082 but later demolished. There is an abundance of activities to suit all interests on offer in this area; from sea fishing, walking and climbing in the Snowdonia range to enjoying the castles, mines, beaches and gardens of this beautiful stretch of the North Wales Coast. Deganwy is only a few miles from the holiday resorts of Conwy and Llandudno; Conwy boasts a medieval castle, town walls and a marina, plus winding streets which offer something for shoppers and diners alike. Llandudno was very popular during the Victorian era, and this is evident in the architecture and the very impressive promenade. The town also has a pier with family attractions, a cinema and for the more adventurous, a dry ski slope! Between Deganwy, Llandudno and Conwy, this area has so much to offer the entire family.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Gas central heating. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV, DVD, CD, radio. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. Roadside parking. Front paved area with garden furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk.

The view! When I walked into the lounge, the view was outstanding. We were fortunate to have a week of lovely weather, and I was happy just to sit outside and look at what was in front of me! The accommodation was good, with comfy beds and nice touches.

Fairway, Deganwy Cottage was clean and welcoming, it is as described and has stunning views across the estuary and towards Conwy Castle, I really enjoyed spending an afternoon sitting in the lounge sketching the landscape outside the window. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped, having a walled garden was a real boost with our pet dog staying with us too... Kids loved the house and it was a real shame to have to leave at the end of what was a great vacation. We cant wait to book it again next year :)
Mrs Blair

The views from the lounge and main bedroom windows across to Conwy were wonderful. Great location and walks; plenty to do in the area. The cottage is close to a cinema and large supermarket, and the on-street parking was never a problem. Would certainly visit again and have already recommended to family and friends.
Mr Soanes
July 2011
The view was absolutely stunning and for one having lived in Conway (now Conwy) it was great nostalgia. The house was one of the best if not the best appointed holiday home we have visited. It also meant that we were close to LLandudno and it's West Parade beach. Easy access to Snowdonia, The Conwy Valley and Anglesey.
Mrs Kerley

December 2016
This house is amazing, the position is perfectly accessible. View is incredible. The house itself is well cared for, everything was clean and modern. Tastefully decorated with all the appliances you need....which is great with a dog and 2 kids you need a washer. All ready looking for when I can come back. Manager/owner is very helpful too!
May 2014
Have just returned from a weekend break at this charming cottage. I can honestly say all the other reviews on here are spot on! Lovely accommodation, given a wonderful homely feel by the DVDs, games and toys for the children to enjoy. The neighbours could not have been more friendly and the service from Stephanie the Manager was excellent. A big thank you to her for the pint of milk left on our arrival, a wonderful surprise and very much needed after a stressful jaunt up the M6! The view from this cottage is outstanding. I couldn't help myself but keep staring out of the window at every chance I got. Harbour view fish and chip shop at the end of the road was excellent and again staff were super friendly. Beautiful local area with so much to do and see. A lovely stay away and thoroughly recommended. Many thanks!
June 2014
We loved our stay at Fairway, what a view from the front window and sun terrace, we never stopped watching it. If you like trains, bird watching across the estuary, catching crabs and fish and chip suppers this is the place for you. Top tips 1) Take a walk upto Deganwy Castle, the footpath starts just along the road. Good Pub, Gonvenience Store. and Chippy a minutes walk away. Tesco 24hour store 2 mins. Cycleway and footpath to Conway and Llandudno just across the road. Take a trip up the valley to Bets-y-Coed on the railway and finally dont be put off by the road. Because of the house's elevated position you don't notice it. Lastly great bathroom.
August 2013
There were only two of us, so we had plenty of room. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The neighbours are friendly and helpful. There is no difficulty with street parking. I had the best roast beef I've had in years at the Castle View, a couple of hundred yards away. There's a corner shop and a chippy at the end of the road. Take your own carrier-bag. The only fault was the feeling of insecurity when sitting out at the front of the house, facing the river. Anyone could walk in the back and you wouldn't know.
January 2014
This is a great rental. The view from the sitting room and front bedroom is absolutely superb - ever changing over the mountains and the estuary. Wonderful. There were four of us and a dog and we all felt very much at home (even the dog). The house is very well equipped and feels very comfortable and welcoming. The street parking is no problem at the back of the house and the Castle View pub and restaurant is only a few strides away. I have to say the food we had at the Castle View was some of the best we've eaten in a long while. We dined there twice in four days! The house is in a very good location for Conwy and Llandudno. We got a taxi into Llandudno on my birthday to go to Romeo's Ristorante, which was excellent and very good value for money. The staff are so friendly and, even though we live in Oxfordshire, we've had a couple of birthday dinners at Romeo's. A long way to go but worth it. I would recommend Fairway wholeheartedly!

Beautiful views from living room. Close to all shops and takeaways. Friendly neighbours. A very comfortable stay would definitely recommend. The only thing I think it needs is WiFi.
March 2014
Just returned from a 4 day break to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary with our daughter, son & daughter in law. The directions for getting to the cottage were spot on as was the instructions for getting into the cottage. When we saw the amazing view from the sitting room we were thrilled. The cottage is in such a brilliant area overlooking the water with a stunning view over to Conwy. We didn't close the blinds once! The bedrooms were a good size and beds very comfortable. Everything was catered for in all areas. I thoroughly recommend this cottage and hope to visit again soon.
April 2013
Wonderful-view, decor , the view oh and the view. Will definitely return and to echo others the chippie at the end of the road is excellent too!
June 2013
Wonderful views, Pub on the corner about 50m and a chippie another 50m, well presented and a great place to stay, loved every minute, definitely worth the money, highly recommended
September 2012
The cottage was much bigger than we expected, it was welcoming and well stocked with equipment and crockery. It was pet friendly which was what we were looking for. The views were stunning and it is well situated with Llandudno to one side and Conwy to the other. I am disabled so it was important that it was fairly flat to accomodate my needs. A nice pub/resturant and a local well stocked corner shop/newsagent are close by with a larger supermarket and other amenities are just a short car ride away. We enjoyed our holiday so much we have booked to go again next year.
September 2011
If there is one description to define this destination it is the View. Situated in an elevated position looking across the Conway estuary, the ebb and flow of the tide against constantly changing skies and with Conway Castle and the hills beyond, this property really delivers as far as location is concerned. Five minutes from Conway itself by car and about ten to Llandudno, with supermarkets and cinemas even closer, this destination is ideal for those wanting to explore this part of North Wales, with Betws-y-Coed just over half an hour away, Snowdon similar and anglesey within an hours drive. The house is a comfortable three bed over two floors, tastefully decorated and furnished and with most all mod cons. If wi-fi, a cafetiere and a little more wardrobe space was added I would certainly suggest it being near perfect.
September 2011
The view from the forward aspects of this site were unforgetable with the mountains, castle and river. The house was clean and well appointed with adequate parking at the rear. We will definitely return when we come back to this area. There is no other location that equals this and we have satyed in the area many times in the last twenty or more years. The location of good restauarants, paper shop and fish and chip shop could not be bettered. The nearness of all routes to Snowdonia and anglesey and the a55 was an advantage and the bus routes were good and the trains to anywhere only a few hundred yards away.
January 2011
very clean, well maintained property, with a view to die for. every thing for a good getaway.
August 2011
Positioned where we needed. Low bed in main bedroom difficult for person with arthritis.
August 2011
This house has a great view and also is very conveniently situated. The house inside was clean, furnished in a modern style and had lots of tourist information. The only negatives are the on street parking and also the faint possibility that adventurous little children might clamber over the garden wall. But will definitely book again!
September 2011
Loved the seaside decor, the view from the windows of the castle and marina was wonderful, the location was perfect with easy access to the beautiful Bodnant Gardens, Llandudno, and Conwy. Eating places within walking distance. We were unlucky with the weather as it rained every day but one.
