The thriving village of Minsterley lies in the beautiful Shopshire Hills, just 10 miles from the medieval town of Shrewsbury. The village of Pontesbury is just one mile away and offers further amenities including takeaways and restaurants, plus Arscott Golf Club, Springlea Fishing Pools and The Long Mynd. One of England's finest heritage towns with over 600 listed buildings, Shrewsbury nestles on a loop of the River Severn. Admire the pretty cobbled alleys and squares and enjoy the many festivals on offer including Shrewsbury's Summer Season. Shrewsbury has a magnificent Abbey founded in 1083, as well as Shrewsbury Castle, which stands in beautiful gardens and grounds and is home to the Shropshire Regimental Museum. There are a plethora of interesting things to do in the area with the National Trust's Attingham Park, Wroxeter Roman City, the museums at Ironbridge, the castle and Michelin starred restaurants of Ludlow and Acton Scott working farm, as featured in the Victorian Farm TV series, this lovely village is the perfect touring spot for your Shropshire adventure.

We stayed a week in this beautiful holiday rental cottage. It was extremely clean, beautifully furnished and had everything one would need. In a quiet area but near all the attractions that Shropshire has to offer. Walking on Long Mynd and Stipperstones, fantastic views, lovely villages and small towns. Historic buildings, National Trust properties , near the Welsh border and the town of Ironbridge. A fantastic place for a holiday.
