The cottage was very cosy, warm and so good to return to after a day out. The bed was excellent, with a good mattress and proper cotton bed linen. In addition, the crockery and towels added a feeling of quality throughout. Definitely, the best furnished cottage I have ever had.

My husband and I found the people most welcoming. The site was so peaceful although on a working farm and the quality of the accommodation was superb (We loved the swallows flying around adjacent to the building). I would have given it a five star rating if that is possible. The village pub served fantastic food and everyone was so friendly. Ginny's Barn was ideally situated for visiting the many historic sites within the vicinity and also the various towns and villages around. We would go back for another visit. Thank You.

We stayed at Ginny's Barn in the middle of a house move in December and on returning to the barn each day it felt like coming home. The underfloor heating made the property lovely and warm and the lighting was excellent. The owners were really friendly and the welcoming biscuits and tea when we arrived at the beginning of our visit were much appreciated.

Once the weather had brightened we enjoyed the countryside, particularly Clumber Park. We also thought that Retford was the sort of town which, for its size, most people would like near them. We also enjoyed the bird life around the area.

This is an excellently appointed cottage which reminded us of various Gites we have stayed at in France over the years. The hosts are very friendly and always had time to talk. The cottage has a decent wifi connection which helps in this day and age. The location proved ideal for trips to Lincolnshire as well as easy access to Nottinghamshire. The nearest small town is Retford which has a market on Saturdays. I like to do a bit of fishing and this can be found at Hallcroft in Retford. Overall my wife and I were very happy with our stay and would definitely return.
