We had an all round lovely experience at Glanyrafon. Meeting the owner was lovely as she was very nice to us. It was a lovely place to be in Spring as there were lots of lambs to see when we went for a walk around the farm. The house was lovely and there was plenty of space for us. The bed gave me one of the best nights sleep I've had in a while. We will definitely be visiting again.

I absolutely love this place! Me and my party have been two years in a row and we aren't stopping yet! The owner is on hand if needed but happy to leave you to get on with your holiday which is perfect for us! The hot tub is amazing, and the kitchen is gorgeous! Perfect for big gatherings!

The house was spacious, comfortable and lovely and warm. Given the poor weather we spent most of our time at the property and it was perfect for 8 adults. The owner was very helpful on the phone before we arrived and recommended taxi numbers and local pubs/restaurants and things to see and do. Fantastic time had by all!

We had the most amazing time. The property was absolutely stunning and had everything we needed. The hot tub was also up and running for when we arrived and was an added luxury we all enjoyed. The views were spectacular! The local village was just a short trip away and had some lovely pubs and cake shops. All in all I would highly recommend this property to anyone and would love to return myself.

We had a superb weekend celebrating our sister's leap year birthday. The hot tub was clean and hot. Having done this kind of weekend break for 4 years now this has been the best cottage we've stayed in. The weather was great for the time of year and the stars at night were amazing!

I loved the fact that the cottage was in the middle of nowhere and set on a farm. Was so great to spend time with friends in this beautiful cottage and also take in the breathtaking views. This was also situated very close to The Elan Valley, which is truly beautiful. We were able to cycle round and take in the beauty of which is Wales.

Loved the cottage, it was quiet, warming and relaxing. We are trying to arrange when we all can get together later this year to re-book this cottage. The owners were fantastic when we spoke to them over the weekend and would definitely recommend Glanyrafon to anyone.

Everything about the house was amazing. The living room was more than big enough to accommodate the 10 of us. It had a lovely hot tub! The kitchen was very big and one of the best I have seen. All of the beds were comfortable and we had 5 cars parked off road with plenty off room for another couple. Definitely would go back.

The fact that the cottage was situated on an actual working farm was a delight. At first we were apprehensive about the smell but that was instantly dismissed!

We asked for Christmas decorations and a special in-house cooked meal prepared and served by a caterer and the owner set up both very nicely.

This barn conversion is everything you could wish for and more. Stayed here September 2015 with 10 friends, house was large, plenty of room in the living room, and the kitchen is beautiful with a lovely cooker and hob that was perfect for breakfast each morning. The views are perfect as well, great for walks, and so peaceful. Being on a working farm was not a problem for us and couldn't really hear any noise from livestock or machinery etc, just very peaceful. Local town is only a 2 minute drive down the road, Rhayader which has a good few pubs/restaurants and a handful of shops. The owner was very nice and helpful, honestly couldn't ask for more! Some other nice touches was the Hot tub, the freeview TV, which was a nice size, free WiFi which all 11 of us could use at the same time, a Wii games console, and a selection of board games, which was nice social point for everyone and fun :) Thanks for a lovely stay, Would recommend Glanyrafon barn to anyone who wants to get away for the weekend and relax.

Great weekend lovely secluded setting , didn't realise the barns were so close to the house but it didn't spoil our break . There was 10 ladies in the house and it still felt spacious inside. Hot tub was great and the house was furnished to a high standard and we had everything we needed dishwasher tumble dryer ect. Will definitely be booking again.

Beautifully located barn conversation, with large sized rooms which would accommodate the advertised 12 people. Exceptionally clean and all needs catered for I.e washer, dish washer etc (bring your own washing powder, toilet rolls etc) . All the bedrooms are spacious and towels are provided, Would have been nice to have tvs in the bedrooms, but this does not detract from the fact that this place is very relaxing, peaceful location ideal for exploring the local area. We were not particularly worried that property is in the middle of a working farm and there was no disturbance during our stay. Loved the hot tub, great fun, would have been nice to have had a canopy over it to shelter us. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Myself and 11 friends booked this cottage for my 30th birthday. The owners could not do enough to help us. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. It is in the middle of a Working farm , so take some wellies. The house is very large which made living with 11 other ladies quite easy. Can't wait to book again. Didn't want to come home!

I arrived here at night after a 2 hour drive and found it hard to find because the directions given were from the opposite way, but once I worked that out it was very easy to find. I can imagine it's very easy in the day. As soon as we got in I fell in love with the place. It's so much bigger than what it appears in the photos. It's very homely, with everything you need, kitchen utensils galore! Plenty of plates, glasses, mugs etc, even a dishwasher. (A few dishwasher tablets are left under the sink for guests) You do need to take most things yourself, such as washing up liquid, tea bags, sugar etc. I did ask this beforehand though so this wasn't a shock. We did need to call to ask how to work the oven and the boiler went off but the owners were lovely! We had a great night in the hot tub! Such a bonus and the reason I ended up booking this cottage over others. As we arrived in the dark we didn't realise how close the animals were to the cottage, their are barns either side of the cottage (not too close and you can only see one which is opposite the front door) with cows in, it didn't bother us though as we knew it was a working farm, we even had a delivery of sheep while we were there! I would definitely stay here again if I had the need, I'd love to go in the summer actually, would be lovely having a barbecue in hot weather there.
