Near enough centre of Portree to walk in for meals, drinks etc but so quiet at night; blissful. Couple who own cottage were lovely. Portree is a great central base for seeing the island.

The cottage was very cosy and warm. It heated up very quickly when the heating was switched on - important in Skye in May! I liked the nice light furnishings and the location of the cottage was perfect for us - easy walking distance into Portree and to the swimming pool.

House very comfortable and well equipped, owners very friendly and helpful, good central location for getting around the island. We had a great holiday, the weather could have been better, but it didn't deter us, and we were able to do and see all the things we had planned to do while on Skye. Would hope to return some day.

This holiday cottage was fantastic and an ideal location to explore the wonderful island of Skye. The owners were very friendly and hospitable and even gave us a welcoming bowl of fruit upon arrival. The cottage itself was comfy and clean with all the modern facilities that the traveler could require and more. The bedrooms were comfy, the lounge was comfy and overall we had a brilliant stay at Glenfrughart. The town of Portree is a wonderful place and the locals are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for an ideal holiday place and base to explore the Island, then I would certainly recommend this cottage for your choice as its excellent value for money and all the things you need (ie shops etc) are near by.

Portree is a delightful place to stay. The accommodation is close enough to walk into the town which has a good range of eating establishments. The accommodation is spacious and with an excellent kitchen. The only down side, most of the furniture is "low" and being tall we both found it a bit of an effort to get up from the beds and comfortable chairs. Overall it was a good place to stay, and ideal for exploring.
