Gwyndy description

Perched on the slopes of Cilgwyn Mountain overlooking Caernarfon Bay, this detached, former farmhouse has panoramic views out to sea from Porthdinllaen on the Llyn Peninsula to Anglesey. Set in four acres, in an old slate quarrying district, Gwyndy is ideally situated for walkers of all abilities. Walk in the footsteps of the old quarrymen and take in the breathtaking views from the various local routes. Choose from all the routes Gwynedd and Mon offers from the peak of Snowdon to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey Coastal Path. The most scenic, Snowdon Ranger and Rhyd- Ddu are easily accessible from the property. Cycling is an ever increasing past time in the area. The popular Lon Eifion can be accessed 1½ miles away in Groeslon (plenty of free parking) where you can cycle off road west to Bryncir or east to Caernarfon and onwards to Bangor. There are plenty of activities for children in the area with Greenwood Park a popular choice. Steam railways are in abundance here in Gwynedd, all easily accessible from the cottage, with the Welsh Highland Railway taking you through winding glens and valleys to Porthmadog (Dinas station is 4 miles away).
