A lovely clean, well equipped, well furnished cottage which was very comfortable. The caretaker was polite and helpful. Wetton is a lovely little village and Ashbourne and the surrounding area is very picturesque. It is well placed for visiting and exploring.

We were made to feel every welcome by the caretaker. There was plenty of information about the surrounding area available in the Cottage. The Cottage was warm and cosy with plenty of hot running water. Tranquility and calmness abounded.

Hallows cottage is in the centre of Wetton and therefore has easy access to the Manifold way and all the wonderful walks in the area. The local pub is friendly and can provide reasonable food on those nights when cooking is not something you want to do. Shops, however, are a car ride away! This is a great plac from which to explore the area. If the is a down side it is that there was a strong scent of dog when we visited so you need to be aware that pet friendly means that pets have stayed.

As my wife has already mentioned we stayed here for a short 3 day break with our grandson. As the whole family went myself, wife and dog we had to book pet friendly accommodation. Service was good, directions to the property "worked", we obtained the key, and spoke to the property supervisors on other details. we liked the property immensely inside was attractive, clean and tody. The only criticism would be the mobile phone service which may just about work from the upstairs bedroom. That said this is really not a fault with the property. As a tip a reasonable vodafone phone signal can be obtained either near the window in the local pub, or at the top of the village (just past the post box). Outside of the property has a communal area with a brick built BBQ, which would be lovely if the weather had been suitable. Wetton is a lovely quiet village very suitable for holidays with a two year old child and a dog. Both of which would quite happy go for a (supervised wander) in the roads and fields around. We also visited the Chatsworth estate Farm shop and petting zoo. All of this were good activities with a dog and child. N.B. if one person takes the child round the petting zoo a long dog walk can be done by turning right just before the entry and heading up the hill. The local pub is cosy and serves good value food when you don't fancy cooking. Our whole stay was lovely ... my only complaint would be walking the dog up the hill behind Chatsworth which gives good views but is maybe strenuous.

We had a wonderful week here at the beginning of the year :) the cottage was everything we could have asked for, and the Victoria sponge on arrival was a great surprise. Our son had decided he was going to light the fire and he managed it, which ment our dog had a lovely cosy spot to relax :) The immediate area is lovely, you can just walk in any direction straight from the front door :) The village pub is very friendly, cosy, dog friendly and the food is lovely and good value :) Hope to go back :)

Wetton is a lovely, quiet village. Royal oak pub, right opposite the property is friendly with normal pub food. The cottage was average. It had the basics, but the kitchen could have been better equipped. I know it is a pet friendly cottage, but you don't expect to smell dog in the accommodation, and we did unfortunately! There was dog hair on the bedding in the guest bedroom. We notified someone about it, and she removed them. There is a Lovely walk at Thor's cave, just nearby.

We enjoyed the peaceful, rural location, lovely walks from our door and the proximity of the local pub! The cottage was cosy and well equipped.
