The cottage was first class in every respect. I liked the location because we could get to Windermere, Kendall and Morecambe with ease so we were able to vary our holiday. I loved every aspect of the holiday so providing the location is for you, look no further.

The whole place. The wood-burning stove! A dishwasher! The weather was just awful but it did not matter - it is January after all - the cottage was warm and cosy and extremely well equipped. Plenty to do around the place and the cottage was well stocked with CDs DVDs, magazines, books etc. We REALLY liked it!

Lovely, tastefully modernised cottage in a small village with two excellent pubs. Ideal for pet owners with plenty of walking areas easily accessible both on the coast and in the hills.

We loved the cottage- especially the location as the mill stream was just in front of it. It was lovely to have ducks and ducklings coming to be fed morning and night and to have swallows dipping down into the stream catching flies for their supper. It was a quiet village but we had walks on the doorstep, a village shop and two pubs for an evening drink all very relaxing.

Everything I would expect of a Cumbrian cottage. So pretty and right beside a stream with picturesque bridges along the way. Baby ducklings were a treat to watch each morning and evening. Neighbours were friendly and welcomed visitors, it was ideal for any artist like myself. Close to rail and bus facilities so it was easy to get to surrounding resorts without the need to use my car. I welcomed the cottage being dog friendly and it was spotless on arrival and cleaned again midway between a 2 week stay. Well equipped with everything anyone could need and had pubs with good grub within walking distance. Overall a very enjoyable holiday that I would highly recommend.

Although it was a cold weekend we enjoyed visiting nearby attractions. There was plenty to do without going into the very busy main tourist area around Windermere. The cottage was homely and suited us very well as a retired couple. The kitchen was excellent and the local shop had everything we needed as we ate out for our main meal each day.

Every thing we wanted in terms of style and location. Nice little village with good amenities. Lovely little cottage fitted out with all you need. However, we found the double bed very uncomfortable and didn't sleep as well as we would have liked.

Beside a pretty stream with lots of picturesque bridges. Villagers friendly and co-operative. Nearby pubs provide good meals at reasonable prices. Station within walking distance so easy to access surrounding areas. The cottage is cosy, spotlessly clean and comfortable with outside seating areas to back and front. Very relaxing.
