It lies 2½ miles from the market town of Loddon, and motor launches are available for hire on the River Chet. There is golf at nearby Beccles, Bungay or Norwich, whilst fishing tuition, birdwatching and walking are available. Beaches can be found at Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft nearby. Norwich, 11 miles, has a cathedral, museums, theatre and shops. Shop and pub 2½ miles. Small step to entrance.
