Our hostess left a very welcoming letter, and offered her services to us should we have had any difficulties. The cottage was terrific. We are cottage folks and have visited many. This was one of the nicest we have visited. Please thank her very much indeed!

Quiet location, very nice, clean and well maintained property with all mod cons. The welcome milk, tea, coffee and cake was a nice gesture. The careful and comprehensive instructions show an attention to detail from a very considerate owner.

We were up in Keswick for our annual family gathering and in particular this year to celebrate a 90th birthday. Have stayed in other properties in the location but first time in High Doat. Great little bungalow with the added bonus of a large entrance lobby and a sun room off the kitchen. Excellent shower in the bathroom - the best we've had in a number of years. Although there was a musty smell that we couldn't track down. Beds were comfy and plenty of bedroom storage space. Towels aren't provided which is a shame as they are bulky items to pack. Internet would have been useful especially as mobile signal is intermittent. Would be reluctant to book again due to the lack of wifi - but if wifi was included would love to stay again!

This accommodation made our stay in the UK from australia one of the best yet as it empowered us to get out and about the lake District when we wanted with easy parking, good central location to Keswick for walking into town or just rambling. Cottage is well maintained and provided us with all of our needs, the one exception was a lack of bath towels that we had to purchase locally. We would definitely recommend to couples or families.

Beautiful, cosy bungalow - a home from home with everything you could need. Very quiet location with fantastic views but within easy walking distance of the town centre. You could even park a little closer to town if you were lucky (maybe not in high season though. The garden would be a lovely place in good weather to have your meal. Nothing to dislike at all.

We've just returned from this property and would return without a doubt. My husband and I, along with our two young sons (aged 4 and 10 months) had a wonderful week here, and the property catered for all our needs. The cottage was spotless and the owner left milk and tea bread (to be highly recommended!) for our arrival, which was a nice touch. It is an ideal location for exploring Keswick and the surrounding area - close enough for the local amenities, but far enough out to appreciate the peace and quiet of the lakes. I can't recommend this highly enough.

This cottage is very highly recommended it is furnished to a very high standard with everything in pristeen condition. The only downside and there is only one it is very steep access to the property for elderly people as we are. Fortunately we have a disabled badge hence we were able to park free of charge in town which we had to do but apart from that we would rate this as superb.

We enjoyed our stay in this house and found it convenient for Keswick and close to main roads for travelling about. We would stay again when in the area.

What a find. A 10 minute walk into Keswick (turn left out of the house down the snicket at the end of the road ,it's a lot quicker!). It's situated on the edge of town so well away from what can be a very busy town centre. The cottage is very clean and has EVERYTHING you need for a real home from home holiday. There's so much to do in Keswick and there are dozens of great walks within a 20 minute drive. We even did Skiddaw from the house. The pitch and putt golf near the lake is great fun. Still lots of walks to do in the area so we'll be back again
